Am I missing something here (I must be)?

They are charging the price of a new C7 (maybe a little less, depending on the C7 options), to convert an existing - used- C6 into somewhat of a C7?

What's the incentive to get this? I don't get it. Why wouldn't someone just buy a new C7?

I have never been on any car forum with so many people who are insecure, bashing a car that is a corvette, wake up and smell the coffee, the c7 is a better car, the C7Z is going to put all c6 models to rest.
But they are all corvettes, half the people who say they hate them will own one at some point... Let's get real.
Its a much nicer car, like every clean sheet design should be, and only going to get better.
GM will sell everyone they make, which is why I'm betting there will be no ZR1, just a Z06 that will out perform the C6 Zr1.

Not only that, but add the original cost of the C6 one may already have, along with the $60K of this kit, and you could easily purchase the next C7 Z06 version, and have significant money left over. I just don't see a scenario where the SV kit makes sense.

It is a nice look on a Corvette, but all the butt hurt feelins bads gets hurted. Just get a C7, who cares. The car looks awesome. The back looks like a dodge???!!! The car has four wheels, two doors, there is a chance it will look like another car. Is the C6 really that bad, it has to be put down so much? I like the car in the link, if the C7 looked that good, it would be nice.

I also find it funny that GM completely redesigned the camaro tailights so that the C7 "camaro-ish" tail lights no longer resemble those on a camaro. Nice "fix" GM...I'm on to you.

Not sure why I would want my C6Z to look like a C7 either...

I think it looks great. That should have been the new C7. It looks alot better than the c7 to me.
