Now that's just funny.

I just sold my 2008 Z06 with 40 000m to go with a 2009 ZR1 with 10 000m.

And WOW, the car is totally another car! The Z06 was a beast, the ZR1 is a nasty beast!

the power ++++++++
the feeling of suspension / steering +++
the seats with lumbar and side adjustment ++++++
the leather all around the dash ++

go to make a test drive! nothing is better than a test drive to set your mind!!

I also went from an 09 Z06 to a 10 ZR1 and looking back I should have went strait to the ZR1...the ZR1 is better in every way IMO.

I would do it if the 29k is at the top of your budget.... But if not hold out for the new Z06 and just do a few things to your current Z06 to hold you over.

If you re going to give that much money plus your car then hold on to your car for another year and get a c7 z06.Much better car than a zr1.Newer, fresher, faster,just plain better.Your car wont drop that much in value cause its in the 40 to 45 k range whereas zr1 s are all over 70 k too close in price to a new car.Take my advice and wait to get the c7 z06.

Are you offering to pay the 40 to 45k for the 08Z with 30k miles? I'm guessing the best he'll get for that car late next year when the C7 Z06 comes out is 30 to 35k and thats tops from a dealer on trade, not to mention not adding any more miles.

So whats your guess on what the C7 Z06 will cost? I'll say 75 to 80k.
