c6z with ecs novi 1500. safety mods??
I have an 06z with a novi 1500. What mods would you all reccommend for safety and 700rwhp. Ss valves? Is it worth the money getting the heads ported while I upgrade the valves? Rocker arms? Which rocker arms are the best bang for the buck? Also was considering doing pistons. Who would you trust with your car within driving distance of PA. Thanks! If their are anymore safety mods that are needed please chime in!

700rwhp? Valves, guides, rear end, driveline, engine and tranny mounts, forged internals, linked lifters (like Morel), Dewitts radiator and fans, vented hood, Aviaid or ARE oiling system, higher capacity sump take (like from LPE)....
No such thing as "safe" when you go beyond the factory specs, especially that far beyond.

We literally have hundreds of stock engine LS motors above 700rwhp, I guess our version of "that far beyond" are very different.

Some yes, but many are far from, we have an C5 LS1 for instance that is untouched besides a cam swap with over 1500 passes on it that also holds the stock bottom end record at 9.38/138 with our supercharger kit.
That is our flag ship for longevity car, but we have many others with a ton of fast passes as well.
That being said, I agree that you have to be prepared for breakage if you want to race regularly, if you don't break great, but you have to be prepared for it.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer or anything, but just saying that when these things get modded, be prepared with a hefty pocket book because it's never a matter of IF something is going to break, just a matter of WHEN and how bad.

I would say an LS1 that is cammed with a supercharger that has ran 9.3 and close to it 100's of times-won entire season long race series' let alone many individual events, which means at least 700 rwhp, is just as-if not more prone to breaking then an LS7.
427 cubic inch making 700rwhp, or 346 cubic inch making 700rwhp, which would you think has higher cylinder head pressures?
I agree with both of you that that LS7 is not the beefiest of the LS family, but not with your above statement sorry.
Either way, not trying to argue with anyone.

Are you saying you can up the compression from factory spec and still run a super charger with no problems? I'm not challenging you. I'm asking for my own knowledge.
