C6 Z06 Battery replaced, thanks for the forum help!
Just posting that some forum advice helped us replace the battery on our '07 last night. It's original Delco failed (about time, I guess), so we got a replacement and went to change it out.
We had a little trouble getting the original out; that battery box opening in the trunk is not much bigger than it needs to be. Grabbing the battery with my fingertips, it was getting hung up on the loose positive cable when I tried to remove it. I wondered if there was a trick to it, so did a quick search of this forum versus continue struggling with it in the late afternoon heat of my garage.
Found a relevant post right off. No trick required; just apply ViceGrips to each post and fish it out. And I did, with a bit of manuvering.
Lots of good advice in this forum, just sayin' thanks.

Good point, I used to have a battery strap...too many years and moves ago.
The replacement had a handy, built-in handle...next time should be a cinch. If not, I'll still have ViceGrips :-)

I used duct tape. Affixed it to both sides and it forms a handle at the top. Came out easily

I had trouble getting mine out. Finally got a strap underneath it and pulled it out. Should have checked the trusty forum before I got started. What a pain!
