Default Loose centre caps

So my centre caps are loose and make noise... Its driving me crazy....

And place to buy only 2 centre caps? Its only the front 2.... Or do i buy 4 ? Is this a common problem?

Take your heat gun and heat up each of the clips and bend them out a little, let it cool and snap it on,

A hair dryer on high setting may have enough heat to do it. Another way is to use some silocone caulk, let it set and then install the caps. You could caulk them in, but it would be better to still have them removable.

What wheels do you have? It might be a little more difficult to do the center caps on the 5-dual spoke wheels.

I put a small amount of silicone RTV on the wheel (remove the cap, place a dab of clear RTV on the wheel where the cap contacts x 5). This fix totally invisible since it is covered by the cap. Really works, takes about a minute per wheel.

I have the split spokes.... Sucks that its such a common problem.... Im going to try the heat gun solution first and see how it works

Great thing about this forum! I have the same problem with split 5 spoke wheels on the front left only. I just lived with it as it made no noise. I will fix it as suggested.

I puit drop or two of Elmer's glue on them and they are no tight! You can still remove them if you need to change/repair the tire.
