Who would you kill to get on COTA?
I'm from Texas so I'm proud of this track. I want to get on there bad. A NASA thread was talking about $2500 a day per car.

I was lucky enough to spend last weekend on this track on my sportbike. Amazing facility and a super fast track. 170+ on the long streight. I would love to put the Z on it.

I think they had a track day not too long ago. A few forum members here I believe got to enjoy it. I could be wrong though.
Heard somewhere you could rent it for a day of fun for you and your friends, price is only about 54k

The Drivers Edge ran Cota this year. I drive with them regularly and they are talking about being able to do it again. Follow their site: www.thedriversedge.net

The tower is an observation tower open to the public for a nominal fee to ride up on the elevator. $25-$35 per person depending on which race.
Complete with a glass floor.
I believe you can walk the stairs for free.

Those speeds were for the F1 cars, with qualifying at 1 Min 35 sec. The Rolex DP cars qualified at 2 minutes flat. Stock Z06 would do maybe 2:25+ if well driven.
I was there for the Grand-Am weekend and it is a neat track both for driving (I can imagine) and to spectate. I got to walk just about the whole Grand Prix spectator areas which covers the whole track.

I got to drive that track for two days with Drivers Edge back in January. It's nothing short of spectacular. Smooth as a babies bottom and very technical. If you have the chance, take it...it's worth it.
Advice, spring for new tires because you will want as much grip as you can get. Make sure to have fresh brake pads as COTA will chew brakes up and spit them out for lunch. If your rotors are anywhere close to needing replacing, do it. You will want as much stopping power as you can get.

Agreed....we have been on the track with the race car, been on it with the street car, and a number of customers have been on it already...
Watch for track days by Drivers Edge, MVP Motorsports, BMW DFW group.....
This was Lou bombing around COTA in the ZL1 at a track day in Feb.
Just keep your eyes open....
