Going under the Knife @ Lethal Performance
Well my (New to Me) 08 Z06 is going under the knife this week for a few power and reliability upgrades.
I purchased this Z with just less than 21,000 miles the last week of February and immediately started working with Danny from Lethal Performance (Forum Sponsor) on my next build with them.
We are going with a conservative build this time as I am not looking to running this car at the track but more so putting together a nice sounding but reliable car to drive around and hit a few car meets when I am in town. Danny will be installing an H/C package as my goal is to be around 580 – 600 RWHP with good street manners.
Here is a list of upgrades:
American Racing Headers ceramic coated with catted X-Pipe
Texas Speed CNC LS7 heads with S/S exhaust valves
Trunion Rocker Upgrade Kit
Custom Lethal Performance Cam. (Don't remember specs at the moment.)
Akrapovic EVO system
K&N Cold Air
Fast 102 intake
102 Throttle Body
Katech Valve covers
Plug Wire relocation
FAST 65 lb injectors
Catch Can
LS7 Lifter
ARP Head Studs
RSI Fuel rails
160 Thermostat
LG Heat master
Do you guys think it will make the power and reliability I am looking for?
They will be sending me pictures on the build progresses later this week and I will post updates on the status!

I didn't want to chance maxing out the duty cycle on the stock injectors and will have flexibility if I want to add power later on or run E85.

Thanks, I am looking forward to feeling the new found power this weekend and not have to worry about the valve issue when I have a few spirited driving moments on the roads in Mexico.

Thanks guy's I am currently running Nitto invos and will be going to the NT05R very soon which will probably lead to a ZR1 clutch in the near future. LOL

Definitely will have the reliability you want, now as far as power.... Don't get too caught up in the numbers. It may very well hit 580-600 but Lethal's dynos (old and new) are not for dyno queens. From what I understand the new one might be stingier than the old one Rest assured that no matter the power she makes on the dyno that the car will run like the dickens!!!!!

I'm not a Dyno queen like most and understand the number is just a tool and the track time are the real proof but I feel that 580 to 600 is very realistic for this setup and I will soon find out just how stingy the new loaded Dyno is. Also your are correct as I am sure she will run very strong when shop is finished.
Track times and those all to often runs to the border to run on those mexican highways
Keep us posted on the build!!!

Nice build list. smart move on the injectors I'm making around that power level and my injectors are 105% dudy. those tires last a while for a drag radials but I cant get first gear to hook at all.

May I suggest a better CAI like the Halltech MF103 and a vette air ram air scoop instead of the K&N.
Also do you remember the name of their cam you choose or was it a custom?

I was looking at the Halltech but was told the K&N was the best for the buck.
