Default Follow Fartpipe and me down to TX2k13!!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)

Back in Oct Fartpipe and I were bs'ing about going down to TX2k13. We usually take the wives down to OCMD for the Car Cruise, but for the past 2 years traffic is crazy both at the show and trying to get home.

So we booked a room at the Omni West and have anxiously waiting.

We are leaving PA in about 4 hours. We should be down in TX tomorrow evening. Hooters / Tilted Kilt stops are mandatory.

Fartpipe suggested I atleast put blue painters tape on the side skirts and front air dam to keep them from being chipped up on such a long trip. I went to AutoZone and found a nice work around. They sell carbon fiber faux sticker in 6"x6' rolls. One roll will do BOTH side skirts. If you stretch it out and cut it right in half at 3" the roll will cover the entire side skirt except the last 2".

Wifey helped because this is a long sticker, I just put some spray wax on the side skirt since I will be peeling them off when I get home. A hair dryer REALLY helps. The sticker will easily conform to bends and twist with a little heat.

Here is the passenger side:

Up close to show the where the roll ran out. The pattern is exactly the same, just not glossy.

I grabbed two rolls, one for the side skirts and one for the front air dam. Here is the air dam, like I said, alittle heat and this stuff will wrap around some pretty crazy bends.

YES YES there is some air bubbles. I was buzzing pretty good when I did this.

So right now the car is packed up with my stuff, just need Fartpipe to get up here and we are off.

Stay tuned for nonsense, dumbness and plenty of Mexican roll races

yes the tips are dirty... I drive the beoch...

The Super Bowl of Mexico racing; fun times!

I'll be watching this thread very closely. Lots-o-pics are required gents!

So who do you think will come out on top during the night time events:
UGR Gallardo (Race version)
LMR 2000HP Vette
AMS GTR or similar

IF the vette hooks I think they can come out on top but I gotta play it safe and say the UGR guys will come out with the title; AGAIN! I heard they have more than 1500hp available if necessary.

I have no idea, 1500hp street cars are something I've never seen in person, so this is going to be really interesting.

Well hopefully we can figure out how to spectate/video those runs. Understandably they do tend to tuck those runs away from the crowds for safety reasons I'm sure. So if someone has a INNN for us to see/video that PLEASE PM US!!

We will update as much as we can with video, and (@)(@) and computer generated mexico racing.

I wanna be your friend at Bookface
From what I've seen on the other forums more than 8 GTR's over 1200+whp are going to be there and 8-10 Underground 1500whp Gallardos.
Try to get hold of Kyle at 1320video.com He'll put any fast car in his new DVD and always rolling with the very very fast cars.

Just under 3 hours in getting 22.3mpg and we are out of Pa., through the tip of West Virginia, and now in Virginia going 3mph over the speed limit to keep the blue/reds at bay!
