*Insider Pics* Pfadt LT Headers, TIG Welding...
Having dealt with the gang at Pfadt for many years, I have some friends on the inside over there. One of their welders sent me over pictures of their TIG welding process, and close-ups of their welds.
Also take note in the header flange picture that is AFTER the flange was faced off, look at the consistency in the width of the weld puddles. This is how you lay a bead down...

Those flange welds appear to be done with an orbital welder. I could be wrong but the weld is extremely consistent and appears to be machine welded. I have used such equipment in industrial applications and nothing beats a robotic welder such as an orbital welding machine. But hey if that's done by hand bravo, their welder is one heck of a welder!

Those are perfect welds, great decision to go with a robot welder because they are going to sell a ton of them.
