Default Tire Mileage

Hey! What kind of tires is everybody running and how many miles are you getting from those tires. I know everybody drives differently, just trying to figure out what tires get the most miles on average.

Michelin PS2 ZP runflats (not A/S) 30k plus miles of spirited driving, currently on my second set.

12,500 miles on my Bridgestone RE050A run flats. Started out with 10/32" and now at 8/32". Should see 30,000+ miles from them.

I got about 5K miles from original GY runflats and from each of two sets of Nitto NT05s - changing them out when tread depth got down to just below 2/32". The GYs start with 8/32" and the Nittos with 7/32" tread depth.

My current Michelin PSS tires have 5K miles at present (with similar driving/track use) and the tread depth is now at 6/32" .....but these tires started at 10/32". We'll see how the grip holds up over the next 4/32" on these excellent tires.

Note the PSS on the rear have a 15K mile warranty and 30K miles on the front. You are getting about half the tire mileage as I get, including events.

I've got 17k on my Nitto Invos. I'm confident I'll get at least 30k out of them.

Stock goodyears got 14500 but that was after having factory settings changed at 500 miles 2012 Z06. Now have Mich runflats we will see if they are worth the money. They are quiet compared to goodyears.

thanks for the help...but my dad is a retired Michelin warranty rep for over 30 years (so I have some connections lol...and he gives me his free pension tires which he gets every 2years for the rest of his life) I just feel bad bragging about the warranty in which i missed the fine print.

Still warranty or not these tires are the best rubber I have ever run...and being around the tire biz for all those years I would always run the best rubber we could get are hands on.

10k on the stock GY's and they were corded in the rear and front worn pretty bad too. Realigned to Pfadt street specs and new Bridgestones on now. Only 500 miles on the Bridgedtones and now it's in the garage for winter.

I got only 9300 miles on the GYs and no burn outs. Hope to get better mileage from the Michelins.

Invos are a great price, get decent wear and have a good ride. They grip OK, but if you are looking for real grip the M PSS are the way to go. If you are a straight-liner, you can also go with NT-05 in front and NT-05R in back.

I am looking for good grip. But I am not a straight liner. I need a good set of tires for Sunday driving and weekends at the track

I've got both NT-05's which I drove on the street for 9 months and are my HPDE tires and they stood up well. You may need to slow down in heavy rain. My PSS are my current street tires and they have much more grip than the NT-05's (which would have more grip than the Invo's. They will be my track tires when the NT-05's wear out as they have more than 0.1 G more cornering grip than the NT-05's, but are $3-400 more per set (likely to wear longer, too.
