I've had my 2008 ZO6 since Thanksgiving Eve 2007. It has over 60,000 miles on it and I have to agree it is one of the best cars I have ever owned. Comfortable, fast, good fuel mileage and trouble free.

I won't even think about getting rid of it until way over 100,000 miles.

I have the same car, Black with comp grey wheels...very stealth-like!

Mine is an 08 with 20k miles and 1/2 of those are hard roadcourse miles!

I've got the same car, too. Some strip, mostly street. Same troublefree miles as you. I'll be hanging onto mine for years (unless the C7Z06 is quicker).

Default same experience here

It's good to read something positive again on this forum for a change!

My 2008 was delivered 5 years ago today and now has 20K miles on it. It's not my DD but In that time I've taken some road trips and done 40+ track days (HPDE, open lapping days, schools - not W2W) with it. The drivetrain remains completely stock.

This car has been the most reliable car I've ever purchased and I still enjoy it tremendously. To date, the only thing I've had to see the dealer for was a reflash for a cat "low efficiency" code that lit the CEL a few months ago.

My take: An outstanding out-of-the-box track performer, sweet grand touring car & a relatively low ownership cost (excluding the tires, pads & rotors consumed on track ).

Happy 5th anniversary to me and Happy New Year to All!

Great shot, Quakejake. I love this thread. The Z06 is a very formidable package, and it's great to hear the mileage report!!!

Even with the drama, I personally can't wait to get back into one. The C7 will have be be a real show-stopper to pull away from the allure of the Z06 IMHO.

JAKE:

Thanks for your positive post about your Z06!

I have the same color Z06 as you (black/black) and mine is a 2007.
I bought it through the GM Certified Pre-Owned Program and the prior owner took excellent care of this car! When I got the car it had 26,000miles on it and after three (3) years of ownership I now have 43,000 trouble free miles on it! Thanks to my fellow CF Members, I did do the Comp Cam Trunion Upgrade and have to say it quieted down the valvetrain remarkably! Like you, I love this car alot and plan to keep it for a very long time.
