I drove my car from Atlanta to Chicago when I first bought it with 8500 miles. This thursday I'm driving from Chicago to Boca Raton, then Miami, then Tampa, all the way back up to Chicago. I've put 4000 miles on my car in the last 6-8 weeks. Currently have 12,7xx on the odometer. Its a 2009 z06 3lz.

The car is bone stock, change the oil every 2500 miles, changed all the fluids right after I bought the car (clutch, brake, trans, diff, coolant, oil), and the car runs great. The only thing I want to do to it is put an oil catch can on the car (and a new set of rear tires haha). My theory is the more you drive the better the car gets broken in. When you let these cars or any cars sit, seals start to dry out, etc. And I didn't buy a car to look at it and worry about ****. If you have warranty or even if you don't, just drive the car (its just a car like any other).

I have a 2008 Z06 with 133K. It's a daily driver that sees the track about 6 days a year. I think it will be up to 150K about mid summer.

With the way you drive the car you can take the oil change out to 5-7K miles based on oil tests we've had done. I change mine (09, 2LZ) at 50% DIC which is usually in the 5K range including 2-3 HPDE days. I run M1 0W-40 as at the track oil temp gets into the 260* range. If you are not that high just run M1 5W-30 or the M1 5W-30 High Mileage for more anti-wear additives. I have the additive package tested, too and it is still strong at 5K miles.

Don't commute anymore but put 16200 miles in 16 months on 2012 z06 love to drive it. I will go to the store about 5 miles and to eat out 15 to 25 miles one way.

Dirty Howie is on his second engine IIRC and may be doing some other things on his current engine. Check this forum for posts by him and you can confirm, this is just what I remember off the top of my head.

Have you noticed any oil on the threads of your spark plugs? (I have on mine, but I'm perhaps foolishly trying to convince myself it is of no importance).

i bought my 2012 centennial edition Z in november of last year, so i have had it about 13 months and it has 13,300 miles on it.
the funny part is my commute is only 3 miles! i never get past 4th gear all the way to work.
but it is my primary vehicle. however as of late with he colder weather i have been driving my 2009 tacoma. and they are predicting snow tomorrow.
4,000 of those miles were a week after i got the car when i drove it to california and back.

I'm happy to see these high mileage cars. Like said above cars are meant to be driven.
