Default 100,000

Hit 100,000 this week. 2007 VY. Mostly highway miles.
Issues
1) needles in pan, replaced rocker
2) 5th gear blew up at 70,000. 6th followed
3)axle seal leaked shortly after
4) replaced shifter

5)rear wheel bearing and bearing in diff failed at 95,000

just to inform about driving style...
35,000 on original tires
30,000 on next set of GY RF
probably will get 50,000 from generals!!

I LOVE MY CAR. IT STILL IS FLAWLESS IN AND OUT. I STILL GET THE LOOKS. MY WIFE STILL LOVES THE VIBE OF 505HP!!!

Very nice.

Keep on trucking. Sounds like you've got a good one.

What was the deal with 5th/6th gears?

Cruising at 70mph, all of a sudden it felt like I pushed the clutch in. Went to 5th, notta. Tech said 5 & 6 on the same shaft. My deduction, at that point, 95% of the miles were literally in 5th or 6th. Highway miles do take their toll. Just not on parts we would normally expect. I'm sure 1-4 are as good as new!!

Congrats on the 100K mark. But you might want to edit your post title, it looks like 1 million miles.

I think cars like that are keepers. I've had a couple of those. They are trustworthy friends. And at that point, you might as well see just how far they'll go.

Great to see it.

Wow, that's an accomplishment, whether it is a million or one hundred thousand miles.

Very few people would join a forum just to post this - clearly, there must be hundreds more out there just like you with over a hundred thousand miles on their factory motor. Nice to know, and hope it keeps chugging along for you.

Kudos.

08 Z06 here -- only 22K miles BUT it hasn't been on the road in the past 2 years either otherwise I'd be sitting at about 40K by now.

Hopefully my Z06 lasts that long with few issues Can't wait to have it back here in 3 weeks!

its great to hear that kind of mileage out of a LS7...however you must be pretty easy on it if you can manage 35K miles out of set of Goodyear runcraps...most are lucky to get 10K-15K
