Yellow. 6700 miles. No upgrades. Salvage title with "just" flood damage. Supposedly the drivetrain and body work is fine. Car starts and moves. If a guy had to replace the ECM and some other electrical items is this still a fair price? Ideas?
It would probably be a 50/50 track car/dd.

That is a crap shoot game that I would not want to play. More money and potential problems to resolve to restore it than you might initially estimate. I'd view it as a parts car and at that price it is too expensive.

That is a great question. The location is far enough inland I didn't think to ask that. Salt water would take it off my list for sure.
If its fresh water and closer to $50,000 does that improve the verdict?

where is the car from? I have a feeling there will be alot of "Sandy" cars coming into the market.
Wiring could be a nightmare, that would act up randomly.

Agreed. Corrosion is progressive and things could go bad as months pass. I would pass on the deal because for about another 15k you could be in a no problem car that would easy to resell when the time comes.

Buy the one in portland if you want one discounted that much.
It has a CLEAN title and good with warranty but has been painted
and repaired but still needs to match for 66,500.
I spending more but getting a perfect car!
I have good shot at buying one today
Just waiting to close the deal in the next hour!

i would stay away, i paid 74 000$ for a ''NEW'' 09 with less milleage than this one. It will quickly add up and go over and still have a **** load of issues and still have a salvage title!

I think you meant rebuilt to get plated. Salvage likely needs inspections to get rebuilt status or else you could drive wreaks. Diff states maybe thou .. Up here you in diff provinces you can get day or week passes on anything. In my province I can insure it for a month before it needs an inspection.
I lost interest at 37k, be interesting to see what it goes for. there's 2 more on the horizon too.
It's a total gamble on condition. Those sellers are pretty crooked and want to get the max $ outta it.

I have personally bought, drove and sold several salvage title vehicles and EVERYTIME (so far) sold them for close to what I paid for them after driving them a few years. I currently am driving an 06 Tacoma with a salvage title with zero issues.
Having said that...a car with flood issues does scare the crap out of me. I drowned one once myself and it never was the same. I guess my bid at $36,000 now is long gone...and yes it's that yellow one. My thought was $36,000 with the possibility of throwing another $10,000 for repairs and $4000 for a few mods and I would not mind owning a ZR1. $50k taps me out.
