Finally found a Z06
I have been wanting a Z06 ever since I purchase my first vette (2006 C6) in 2009. After trading that vette for a 69 Camaro last summer I decided I needed to get back into something newer again and sold the 69 a few months ago and have been on the hunt for a Z06 or GT500 since.
Picked up this 2008 Z06 over the weekend, wow this thing feels a lot faster than then my C6 was. As of now the only plans for it are a set of LG header and mild to wild switch.

I think you made the right choice. I was also comparing GT500's and Z06's. There isn't much of a comparison.

Thanks, black wasn't my first choice, but the price was right. My only stipulations was no red or yellow.
It already has a brand new set of goodyears on the back, I haven't looked at them real close, but I'm assuming they are the same as the factory runflats. Somewhere down the line I will end up replacing them with a stickier tire.

Nice car, and you're gonna love it. I too, am a bit confused why you would ever cross shop a ZO6 and a GT500. The Mustangs are certainly good on power, but not much chassis, and way to much cub weight. You did the right thing.

My first sports car was a mustang and I still have a 2000 GT with a built 4v, cage etc. So I will always have a soft sport for a mustang. I wish I could afford a Z06 and GT500, but until I get to that point in life I think I can survive being 27 with a Z06 in the garage.
Here is the other toy, that still needs some completion work.

Nothing at all wrong with Mustangs, as I like them too. No ZO6 Vette though, nor priced or designed to be one. Also, like your 4 post lift, and see you're one of the smarter ones, that mounted the hydraulic pump unit to the inside post.
