I need help
I am looking for a Z06 and have some questions about them. I am interested in a 2006 because I have heard they have fewer problems with the valve spring retainers and valves. Can someone tell me what known problems 2006 and 2007 LS7 have and what to look for in each.

I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago. I just found the cleanest lowest mile one I could afford and bought it. If its gonna have engine problems it's gonna have them. Know what I mean?? Just buy one and go hard!

the 06 cars have the same issues as the others. mine had worn valves and guides. do not let that worry you. buy a clean car and enjoy it. if it were me I would get the car you want then do a heads cam set up and never look back.

I was also targeting a 2006 but more for the Le Mans Blue than the LS7 issues. I found a great seller in a Corvette boutique shop in Phoenix. "Vette Culture."
I'm not affiliated with them but it was one of the best car buying experiences of my life. Reasonable, knowledgable, and accomodating. Great selection...he gets a lot of low mileage vettes from the east where they don't drive their cars much half the year. I drove to Phoenix with my C5Z and drove home with a C6Z about 6 weeks ago....2006 Z with 8500 miles on it.
Good luck!
PS...don't worry about the engine...just buy an extended warranty like I did!
