Default ***Corvette Wins Texas Invitational Event***

Just want to say thanks to everyone that helped put on this event. It was the 3rd time running and it ran smooth as ever. I think there were over 60 cars pushing over the 1000rwhp barrier. This was definitely the biggest gathering of high hp street cars. Everything from the classic Camaro/Corvette/Mustang battles to the new exotic Lamborghini/GTR/Porshce/Vipers. Almost every platform you could think of was there.

I am just glad we got the chance to show the world what a Corvette/LSX platform can do. To be able to beat 1500hp plus AWD cars all weekend long was just an amazing accomplishment. The American Corvette once again is on Top of the Street car world.

I will try and post some videos as I can this week. I really need to catch back up at the shop since we have been working on getting the blue vette ready for this past event.

That is awesome and I wasn't even sure it was possible competing against the high power AWD cars (GT-R/Gallardo, etc.)!

Congrats and way to represent!

Fill us in more:

- whats the power on that GTR in the final round? Looks like it was down some serious power to get run away from like that.

- what was the vette making?

- what were the rolling start speeds? Seemed fairly high by engine speed but can't tell. Airstrip events I run are normally 35-40mph but I'd imagine you 4-digit hp cars need a bit more speed than that to hook.

If I read correctly the GTR had 1300 hp but was down on boost. 10 psi.

Also they said they started at 60 unless thy agreed on a different speed.

Not sure what the vette was running.

Kindof what I heard as well but wanted to confirm here. In that conversation they said the LMR Vette was making almost 2000hp so hoping to clarify that as well. Just putting thing in perspective not taking away from an amazing ride.

Wonder why the AMS GTR didnt make it this year? That would have been wicked to see against this car. Since thats the God of GTR's I'd be nice to see a LS take it down.
