Acceleration video of my Livernois Motorsports stage 3 Z06
This video was taken on a 1 mile airstrip right near my buddy's house. 3rd gear roll I thought gave a good feel for the acceleration on the speedo. It wouldn't hold 2nd gear even with brand new Michelin PSS tires on it.

More SW Ohio love here... Tis the season for no traction... I'm bone stock and can't do anything close to full throttle in 2nd without spin
I am hoping to do something similar over the winter

Nice pull, car looks strong. How about an invite for your local detroiters to this airstrip? Jk
Yea, anything below 70 degrees in 500+ rwhp Zs means wheelspin til almost 100. It is a great problem to have eh?

What are you running for redline on that thing?? it looked like it was heading for the 7600-7800 range. If so what valvetrain components are being used?? springs, valves, rockers, bearings, lifters, i would love to rev mine that high it already seems like its got a ton more in it at 6800.

What does that mean?
It's a third gear pull and not like the tach is having a hard time keeping up. Frankly, in the Z, the tach does well even in 1st all things considered. I've had other cars where the tach lagged horrible, this is not one I'm going to complain about.
I guess with your Livernois (heavier???) valvetrain you feel comfortable that you have no issues at 7500RPM+?

I don't think that this is a particularly heavy valvetrain using all the stock valves...This was one of several of reasons that I wanted to stay with the lighter weight stock exhaust valves. Also, Livernois recommended against the use of aftermarket solid stainless exhaust valves in my engine.
I doubt it's turning 7500+ as the limiter is set to 7450 according to Andy at Livernois who tuned my car.

Get that beast out to Milan Oct 19th (next friday) for the Motown Muscle private rental. We'll have some nice cool air to get some good times. I usually get 30 passes each rental they have.

Livernois is doing a track day the following Friday on Oct 26 which I'm planning to attend. I need race tires, though. No point in going there and burning my regular tires halfway down the track. I'm curious to see what my car will do because on the dyno it is one of the weakest stage 3 cars they've produced for some reason, maybe weather condition related during testing who knows.

Cool man, enjoy and post up your results after.
Are you still on the stock clutch? I picked up some notable rwhp on the dyno when I went to an RPS twin after my drag radials cooked the stock LS7 clutch. The stocker is heavy and contributes to more drivetrain loss. May help if you are comparing dyno runs to similar cars with light twin disks and they are like 9 over you or something.

Yes, that's a good point that I forgot to mention. Mine is the only one to my knowledge that is still running the stock LS7 clutch. I think most of the other ones they have done use the RPS billet twin. They have also done at least 1 car with the LS9 clutch. Do you know how the weight of the LS9 clutch compares to the LS7 clutch? Isn't the LS7 about 8-10 lbs heavier than the LS9 or LS9X?

I didn't suggest the tach was having problems keeping up. I'm suggesting that maybe the tach reads a small amount higher than acutal. I think my tach may indicate about 50-100 rpm higher than what the engine is really running at idle.
