GM give Titletaker's ZR1 a NEW TRANSMISSION
his car has been sitting at the dealership for 3 weeks? low mileage? multiple problems? haven't you all lost enough customer loyalty? Government owns the majority of your company after a BK and you don't think it's time to start taking care of the people who keep you in business? IT"S A 100k+ CAR, don't you want it showcasing itself on the road with a happy owner?

Thanks for your support guys. I have decided to skip the fight for a new transmission and now want the car replaced as the value has been completely diminished on my $120k car. Filed a complaint with BBB and looking into legal representation: I'm done being pushed around by penny pinchers. I have owned 7 Corvettes and numerous GM products, but I guess that does't mean a thing to GM.

How about the GM "customer service" reps on this board move this up the chain to someone who can actually do something to resolve this PR and customer service disaster?

It really sucks It has to come to this. As a BMW tech, I can tell you that if an M6 (or a 128i for that matter) came in with a similar transmission problem, the transmission would be replaced.
Not only is this method a more effective way of quickly fixing the car and making a customer happy, I feel a factory reman'd transmission will be better built than a rebuild done by a dealer tech who may mess with the internals of a TR6060 once a year at best.
After 1 repair attempt, I cannot believe GM won't just replace it. Pretty embarrassing, really. I suppose one shouldn't expect BMW level service from a Chevy dealer, but I'd be frustrated as hell too.

Not long ago there was a female GM rep who frequented this board. Seemed like a stand up person. Haven't seen her post lately.

I bet the stand up men and women at Wixom's PBC don't want to see their pride and joy, the mighty LS9, sitting at some dealership service drive for weeks with the same problem with no resolution. GM service rep if you are out there i want you to know i will personally add to this thread everyday to keep it alive untill this is resolved. WE PAY YOUR SALARY!

replacement car is a little over the top IMHO a new transmission should be satisfactory for the issue. but they should do some kind of restitution for having the car 3 weeks when if they would have put in new tranny right away it woulda been resolved.

Let me ask you this question if you feel it's over the top: would you buy this car after reading this thread and reviewing whats going to be on the car fax? I would love to see the posts if this car was put up for sale on this forum in the future. It's costing me a whole lot more than a new transmission.

Also Streetk14 has a great point. Why would GM want a dealership tech pulling apart and fixing a transmission when that's not his/her expertise (no disrespect) and the fact it didn't work the first time should let them know this isn't a quick fix type issue. Why wouldn't GM want the transmission back to use it as a case study to make sure it doesn't happen again?
Titletaker make sure you show your attorney these threads, a ton of good points.
