I doubt mine would ever see that many miles. I am lucky to put 6K a year on it. It's for the most part a fair-weather toy. Bought it with 5K miles in December, 2008. I've put another 20K miles on it in the almost 4 years I've owned it. It would take me 29 more years at that rate.

Well, mine's not going to be a highest mileage Z on the forum at this time with a whopping 8,200 right now. I hope it will go 200K but since I drive it less than 8,000 miles a year, it probably won't reach that with me.

Can the car go to 200K? Sure, why not? A twenty year old Honda can.
But to achieve that level of miles you'd have to be taking long trips routinely, and frankly I can't imagine how/why. I have other cars that are more practical for trips. The Z is about going fast. If you can't drive it the way it was intended (racing) then I see no point in it. Putzing around on the expressway is pretty boring. Just my .02.

I have seen one on ebay with 212,000 on it. The guy was a salesman for a pharma company and drove constantly I guess. It was an 07 and the car still went for 30K

Before I bought my Z (so this would have been 2.5-3 years ago at least) I saw one with like 120k on it for sale. I'd imagine if the next owner drove it like the first one did it would have over 200k on it by now. Mine has 34k on it right now. Bought it in June of 2010 with 15k on it. So 19, almost 20k in 2.5 years. Not too shabby.

I'll find out in about 55 years... I do about 3500 miles a year as its a weekend car. The only thing that sounds more difficult than my car making 200K miles, is me making it to 95 years of age.

While I don't let it scare me from using the car the way I want to, it did convince me to buy a GMPP just as my 3/36 ran out in April this year. If its gonna happen, its gonna happen I suppose...but I've still got 43 months left on my GMPP right now; and when that winds down I'll either extend it one last time, or pull the heads and send them off to WCCH like many others.

This is a stupid post. What are you trying to say - Mr. 1,000 miles in a year? I have 36,000 on my 09 Z and it runs great.

I'm definitely trying to get there, my '06 just passed 60k last weekend when I drove it 1300 miles to Destin and back. Also averaged 32 mpg on the trip back (cool dry air from cold front).

If the car is kept stock, maintained properly and isn't tracked, I don't see any reason why you can't get 200,000 miles out of these cars. My 06 has only 14,000 miles on it but 12,000 of that is over the 2 years I have owned it. Great car

I have 50,187 on my 2008 right now...my neighbor's 2006 Z hit 99,875 before the second owner destroyed it by not putting oil in it.
