daily driver especially since my 99 has been in and out of the shop getting a new forged motor and now a blower rebuild....that car has 120K on it
Had a 2004 Vert which did that. The dam driver seat would start moving while driving. Never did get it figured out. My friend still has it and was his dd until recently. Has 150k on it now and it has traction control issues. Said it would cost 2k at dealer to fix it so he parked it and bought a KIA to dd now. Plans to sell the Vette. He was asking me what it might bring....he was thinking 22-24. I told him w/that mileage and and needing traction control parts replaced, lucky to get 16k more than likely. Probablly needing new rag top too. It's still original.

just my two cents.....When I was younger, I used to worry about putting miles on my cars...Vettes and others....I dont' own any of them anymore....I truly regret not driving them more. Someone said to me that I must be keeping the miles off for the next guy! I realized how silly I was being, not really enjoying the cars to there full potential.

This is just my thoughts and not meant for everyone. But in 100 years, who cares! We only live once, and with no idea how long that will be! I'm on the hunt for another ZO6, and this time I'm gonna drive the wheels off it!

I do however see someone wanting to preserve them....This is cool too!

I bought my 2007 last year with just over 3000 miles.

Yes, the previous owner drove it 3000 miles over 4 years. To no surprise, he replaced the battery around 5 times during that time.

I was so fortunate because the car was in pristine shape. Still smelled brand new!

Since getting it, I've driven it 15000 miles.

I agree.
The high point of my day is going to and from work (and coming home to my wife every day if you're reading this, honey! ). I ran my '02 Z up to 112,000 as a daily driver, and it was still strong when I traded it in--not because of mechanical problems but because I finally wanted the newer model and more power. I think that engine will last a long time. I hope the 06 Z I have now will get at least that high as my DD, with ~12K miles every year (bought last month with 8500 miles).
I enjoy my car every day.

I buy cars to drive so adding milage is not a consideration. The only car I have owned that did not get milage added regularly was one I really hated to drive.

That being said its good to hear that some people have hit over 120k without major issues.

Great idea! As someone who deals with a fair deal of death & tragedy in daily life... it's too short... drive hard!

Default Miles

I work a lot too and have a very nice work vehicle but I make a point to drive my toy and play. I commute to my place at the lake and coast every weekend and take the z when I can. My 2011 ZO6 LZ3 has 43,000 on it now, she is bone stock, been dealer maintained and I've had no issues at all none. I sold my C5 this year with 119,000 and got $2,000 more then I paid for it years prior with 70,000 miles, yea she was a beauty. The miles are in the eyes of the beholder, don't be scared... Be proactive and live just my .02

Well it's been almost three years since this thread started. I would imagine there are a lot higher mile cars now! Chime in with higher mileage C6 Z06 cars please.

This was my buddy's car last time I saw him...(forum member: jimman)...all stock except a Halltech intake/tune. I'm pretty sure he was well over 200k before moving up into a C7Z.

There was a guy that posted about 2 months ago, that had almost 200k on the original motor IIRC, and I asked him several times if he would please make a post describing what issues (if any) he had with that car, just to get a sense of what we can expect.

He said he would create the post, but then (AFAIK) we never heard from him again.

How many of you guys with this mileage have addressed the valve guide issue?

I did mine when I hit 100k (currently have 110k). One exhaust valve guide was pretty far out of spec and couple more were slightly out of spec but most were still in spec.
