Default Fuse Pulled Out For Exhaust Sound

Are there any issues with just driving with this fuse pulled? Or are there other functions for this fuse that it is not recommened to have it out?

Thanks.

Should be fine, just watch out for the resonance driving you nuts while on the highway. Longest I have driven one is 10 minutes without the fuse and it is noticeable to say the least.

No problem with pulling the fuse, but if you find yourself on the highway crusing along at 1500-1600 RPM in 6th gear and the exhaust starts that dreadfull drone, at least I can push the button on my remote and close the valves, getting rid of the drone without having to pull off the side of the Interstate and put the fuse back in.

The $85-$100 for the M2W was well worth it to me. Took about 15 minutes to install, and less time to remove if you want to get rid of the M2W, that you can then sell to someone else.

Excellent...thanks for the quick responses. I believe I will have to invest in the M2W toy!

This is why the valves are dropping put it back in ASAP!!!

Just kidding, its sounds so much better with it out. Drone will get on your nerves after a while though. It also renders the sound system in the car utterly useless.

Not trying to tie the two together but shortly after the pulling the fuse experiment my flap solenoid went intermittent then died.

Drone BTW, is awful.

I pulled the fuse the day I purchased my 427 Convertible, I haven't nor do I have plans of reinstalling the fuse.

I do remember some vendor mentioning long term fuel trims with the fuse pulled vs not pulled. No idea on that.

With that said, you can always make a switch to control the fuse link so you can have it open on demand and closed when youre on the highway. Or buy one from a vendor.

I know I read this too but was corrected from some here.

I would guess the 427 vert would sound better than the Z06 with the fuse pulled.

Besides being awesome, there are no other side effects.

When you pull the fuse, it's a good idea to keep it in the car with you in case you want to put it back on long drives. I kept mine in the ashtray until I bought the M2W.

Not sure, it does sound very good. Somewhat louder than my 08 convertible npp with fuse removed.

try it out and enjoy it if you end up liking it. M2W is cool to have when drone gets old.

Many feel the same way. I did not happen to like the noise, promptly reinstalled the fuse, and have left it there. I tired of noisy exhausts many years ago.

YMMV

The drone is unbearable at low rpms with the fuse pulled in the Z06. May not be so with the 427 vert due to the soft top. May not be so if your low frequency hearing is below average. Otherwise...Get the M2W.
