Not to the base Z, but in '11 the F55 mag ride was included in the Carbon Edition Z06 (ZR1 suspension), and became an option in the regular production Z06.

Upon introduction of the C6 it was included in the coupe, not for the Z06. The goal was weight savings but as the years ticked by, that didn't seem as important as it was when the Z was introduced. '09 was the first year to have it included in the Z.

BEZ06 added it to his '06Z but not without effort.

3LZZ06 is correct - it took some work, but I put one in my 2006 Z06!!

Here's a thread about it. You have to scroll down to about post# 44 before I get the parts and start the installation. There are a bunch of pictures that show the latch and the wiring:

I believe that the suspension components are the same from 06 MY to 09 MY, with the exception of the rear shocks. 2007 - 2011 (not sure about 2012 and 2013) has a different part number from 2006. In any event, a popular upgrade is swapping shocks anyway from the OE shocks to the DRM Bilsteins or JOC Pfadts.

The steering was also upgraded in 2008 (all Corvettes). Stiffer intermediate shaft, tighter internal clearances, and recalibrated Magnasteer.

Water pump was changed in 2009. Maybe to improve it.

Yes, my stock-engine'd 09 only trapped at 196.5 MPH at the Mojave Magnum (1 1/2 mile standing start) this past June. That is too slow (not).

By 2008 fixed.
In other words the 2008's are the best! I heard Ranger ran a 9.80 @ 145mph in a bone stock 2008 C6Z, but we don't talk about that as to not hurt the feelings of the other years owner's... LOL j/k

I suspect that there were a bunch of little things changed for the 2009 Z06, that we will never know about, in order to have a better, more reliable ZR1. Since so many things are interchangeable between the Z06 and the ZR1, and because of economies of scale, it would make sense to have as many items as possible to be used on the Z06 that are used on the ZR1.

What I'm saying is that the 2009 ZR1 made the 2009 Z06 a better car compared to the earlier Z06's.

I understand that the exhaust valves for 09 have a different part number than previous years, but I'm not sure what if any change may have been made. Also, 09 up calls for a different oil filter that has a stronger casing but I think that may be more important when using it on the ZR1.

That's part of what I said two posts above. The oil filter(UPF48R) was developed for the ZR1, but was also used on the Z06, because it was not necessary to stock two different part numbers at Wixom. Additionally, having more engines use the UPF48R would help decrease it's cost and the slightly fewer cars using the PF48 filter would not cause it's cost to increase. This is also born out by the use of the UPF48R filter being used on the LS3 dry sump engines built in Wixom.

I believe 2006-2007 don't have the 5 yr 100k power train warranty.

If you want Cyber Gray, it starts with 2009, and JSB is hard to find with 09 Z06.

I believe (not sure) that engine oil coolers and/or transmission cooling was added in 2009. I know one or both were added at some point. Someone add that info please. I'd like to know too.
