Lucky you are in PA and not CA. This state is broke and the fines have gone up 300% or more in the the last 3 years. And the last contact I had with a very unprofessional CHP officer left me wanting a whiteness for the traffic stop shake down that I experienced. I did not trust the guy at all. He was on a total power trip. Even my attorney said after the trial, "that guy is a real D%ck".
I got nicked. OK, that's on me. I expect to pay to play. The problem is it just happened to be by a power tripping ego maniac wearing a badge and I pay for his sorry a$$. In return, I gladly paid my attorney to run him all over the county for court dates, and in the end I expected to pay and did, but did not need to show up myself just to let him know that his power trip did not even warrant my presents.
Hey, these guys have a tough job and I would not want it. You just don't need to be a D$ck about it.
