2011 Bondurant cars
I'll have an opportunity to buy one tomorrow...2011, Supersonic Blue, 3ZR, 10K miles, bald tires, no warranty, $124K MSRP
I think it's fine to say that we would all like to pay $60K, but just don't see a $125K car selling for 45% of it's original value even it it has been raced/no warranty.
So...what would you actually write a check for today it it was dropped in your driveway.
Poll coming.

Whatever you can get the best price on. I just was at Bondurant a month ago. The car I drove had about 2200 mi. I went thru the maintance facility and saw they have very strict maintance schedules , replacing brake pads etc. The cars are driven fast but I wouldn't say hard. Its primarily the brakes that I would thoroughly check, they get the most use. The ZR1's are only driven by ZR1 owners. Their regular school only uses Z06 and Grand Sports.

If it was one owner hammering on it I would have less of a problem, but those cars have had hundreds of different people at different experience levels hammering on it. I think in that case the abuse is multiplied.
Because of the above I chose under $60K, but I think $60K even would be fair IMO.

These cars mechanically were feeling ok, however you got to understand that the were driven hard to the limits daily up-to overheating in Phoenix, AZ year round.

I drove 2 of those cars, one of which was the blue. The driver seat back if you push on it it is not stable. The gray one the rear body panel has a fitment issue, and the front spliter was not mounted correctly.

...all relevant comments, IMO. I voted under $60K...

I'd own a Lightly used ZO6 with warranty before a daily tracked $60k ZR1 with no warranty.
That's taking an expensive risk. If the breaks are used up...forget it. You will end up paying top dollar and still have a car with a shady history upon resale.
IMO those cars need to stay full duty track cars. And they should be priced accordingly.
I vote <$60.

Well-said. The financial risk of ownership just may not be worth it...one would need deep pockets and luck.
