Well guys.... Sold my Z06
I wanted to let you guys know that I sold my Z06. I decided it was time to move in a differnt direction. After countless good times, 10 second stock run and many many smiles the decision was easy. I have a 20 month old and a new baby on the way. The Vette was sitting. Drove it just 2800 miles last year. I know for some of you guys that is an average year, but I like to drive my cars. I need a back seat. I come from a background of Mustangs. So when I read about the new GT500 I was excited. I got on the list to order one. I found a great buyer for my car in forum member Voytech. So the time came to order the car and BAM... the dealer informed me that they reconsidered selling them at MSRP.... $10k over was the number. Well I told them to stick it and looked around. I have yet to find one for MSRP, but now I am thinking its not the car for me anyway. Not sure what I am going to get, but wanted to say that the Z06 is by far the best car I have owned. I will miss it always.
I forgot to mention I bought my Z new in '06 for those that dont know... I guess I am one of the Elders on this section...lol
I hope you guys dont mind if I hang around and stir the pot from time to time. Thanks for adding to the Z06 experience!!!

Nissan GTRs have rear seats, don't they? : ) So do some Porsches....albeit, a tad small but perfect for a 20 month old and baby brother/sister on the way.....

My boyfriend just ordered one at MSRP, the dealers are out there. We called quite a few places first, but finally found one. Try looking around on the mustang forums. SVT Performance has a good thread on how to not pay a mark up in the 2013 GT500 section.

Time is on your side - a little patience will save you thousands of dollars. Certainly they will they will try for $10m over sticker at first, but as demand cools it will be $5m over, then at sticker then discounted off sticker. I Gar-un-ee

Picked up my C6Z from the dealer today for some service, and was curious about the ZL1 Camaro since the lot was littered with base Camaro's...was told they are selling for $10K over sticker.
CTSV 4 door would be my choice if I neded a back seat.

You accomplished a lot in the C6 Z06 format Frank, and you added onto, solidified and helped validate it's legend.
You deserve recognition for that.
When the final chapter of the C6 Z06 and it's accomplishments on the dragstrip are tallied, it's achievements and accolades will be in part due to your efforts.

Congrats man.. .
Get back in one when you're ready.
I remember you way back from SVTP - i actually remember the day you picked up your Z..
If my memory serves - you picked it up from a physician and an awesome deal?

Frank,
Say it ain't so bro, say it ain't so!
My advice, chill out for a year or two, and get that new 2013 Stang slightly used in mint low mileage condition, in a year or two, after the price comes back to earth and someobdy has taken the intial have to have now tax and depreciation on the new 660 Stang Shelby 500, it an aweseome car that I look FORWARD to replace my Chally SRT8 with in a year or two as my new daily driver (while hopefully keeping my Z, or upgrading to a ZR1 or 2010 Viper ACR.
In the meantime, DO NOT be a stranger here bro and something tells me you will not be a stanger (best of luck to you my friend, and GO BEARS)!!
Oh Yeah, and most importantly CONGRATS on the your family you got brewing and the baby on the way!!
