Default Brake Pads - Hawk HPS vs PC - Advice

I tired to search, but to no avail...

I want to replace my low-dust, worth-of-crap brake pads... I just can not stop the way that I want; too mushy... What do you guys recommend...?

Car Stats:
Stock Z06 Callipers with Cooling Ducts
570 RWHP
No Track Use
Aggressive Street

Thanks guys...

I use Hawk HP+ and love them, but they are NOISY on the rear with normal street use and dust like a sob. I may do HP+ up front and HPS rear next time around

Carbotech Bobcats (1501) - excellent street pad.

Do a search for brakes in the Z06 forum - discussed weekly - lots of advice.

Carbotech is a small familly buisnees, we can not do production runs like hawk or some other big companies out there.

We are also using industry leading NRS technology. If you're not familiar with NRS technology it gives molded pads up to 8 times stronger sheer strength vs. conventional molded brake pads and riveted pads. NRS technology also helps in reducing noise and vibration of the brake pad inside the caliper as well as aiding in longer wearing pads. We use NRS technology on all C6 & C5 front and rear brake pads.

Here is a link to explain further what NRS technology is exactly: http://www.nrsbrakes.com

Adam at Carbotech is great to work with.

I've been using the single piece Bobcat 1521 pads front and rear for daily driving for the past two years. Very happy. Great pedal feel, excellent release, dust is less than OEM (but there is some), noise about the same as OEM (occasional light squeal when slow rolling to a stop), pad wear has been great, and they seem very rotor friendly.

You will need to clean (or resurface) your rotors for squeal free performance (true with any new pad type on used rotors). Be sure to follow bedding recommendations for whatever brand of pad you decide on.

What I like best is the pad's braking performance; I wanted something better than OEM.

BTW I also use Carbotech track pads for HPDE days - I use the XP10s in the front and XP8s in the rear.

I'd start with Adam, as others have stated above, Adam at Carbotech can get you what you need. You can also check out K&S Brakes. They sometimes run some good deals on Carbotech pads and DBA rotors (if you need to replace yours, OEM rotors are find too).

And let us know what you think of them when they're on the car and broken in. I have yet to find a negative review on these pads when used as they are intended (not for track).

Most likely the Carbotech AX6 pads = Advanced Street, Autocross.
