Stripes on a Z06 ?
Hi everyone i was looking to get some insight on what y'all think about stripes on a Corvette. Or more specifically a Z06. I have a VY Z and have blacked out everything including the Roof,Lights,Wheels ext and now I'm thinking about doing some hood stripes like those on the Centennial Edition. Any input on this ? Ive never really seen stripes on a vette and don't know if theres a reason for that. Anyone have pictures of something similar ?
Thanks in Advance

I'm with "sengli", as just not seeing this added stuff doing much. Personally, think everything about the pictured yellow car, pure butt ugly, and you couldn't pay me to be seen driving around in that thing. My car's a pure stock looking black job, and staying that way. Oh well, guess you heard my thoughts.

Ask yourself a basic question: what am I trying to accomplish by installing stripes? If the factory installed stripes because the car is a limited edition, that's one thing, but otherwise, stripes do nothing to improve the performance, and in most cases, they do not improve the appearance of a purpose built vehicle like a Z06.

I often think about adding the hood graphics to pay homage to the late '60s big block cars. They did this on the 2008 Will Cooksey edition. I was kicking around the idea of doing it to mine in Velocity Red and adding the 427 emblems. I'd follow it up with a two-tone red/black interior (red centers on the seats, trim on the door panels and arm rest).

fingerfivedeathpunch- What body kit is that on your C6? Z quarter/fenders but front clip? How much does a C6 conversion cost like that?
andy82 - Any pics from the rear? Gotta see those rollers from the back.
