Default The bank no longer owns it!

Cause I paid it off !!!!

The Z is mine, all mine! No more car payment. At least for now, until I buy another toy.

Congrats!!

The subject title is pretty rough on an establishment that made it possible for you to buy a Vette.

I wouldn't worry about the financial establishment - they've been screwing everyone since pretty much the beginning of fractional lending. If you can get a nice meal or a decent car out of the process, then you're just @#$%ed a little less than the next guy - or your a banker.

Let me get this straight - you tell the Bank to go F&*k themselves after they extended credit to you to buy the car. Did you have that same opinion before they provided you the funds necessary to buy it?

The mentality of some people

it's not like the bank forced you to take the loan...

(and yes, well-done on the payoff)

Mentality of some people? What's your point? If you knew the same bank that lent me the money to buy the car was the same bank that shut down my unit and left 600 plus people without jobs you might understand where I'm coming from.

I'm just happy that in my current situation I was able to pay the car off.

I don't either, unless it's 0% financing.

Good point. I have no sympathy for banks. They charged you for the use of their money, as much as they could get away with, while they held the paper on that car.

They call people up, write them , send them junk mail, soliciting them and offering to lend them money when they don't need it......

But when some of those same exact people they were soliciting, who had done business with them before, people they had gouged on interest before, on credit cards and other "products" happen to be struggling, and then actually need a loan from them, that same bank will tell them to go "*#^€* yourself".

I get solicitation letters from my banks now, and occasional solicitation calls from them. I throw their letters away, and I ignore their calls. Back in the early 80's, when I was struggling, they weren't calling me to lend me money when I needed it.

They didn't want to do business with me when they didn't "need" me. So why should I do business with them now that I don't need them?

So I can see exactly how you feel. not to mention the 600 plus people getting canned by that same bank.

The Bank doesn't shut down "your unit". Your company shuts down your unit. If the Bank was providing your company working capital financing and it was cut off -- there was a reason. They don't just cut off financing because they no longer like the way you part your hair. It's either a violation of a covenant, bad financial performance, delinquency, etc. or a combination thereof.
