Default advice / post

looking for information. 2009 zr1 4,000 miles started running rough like an injector was bad or sensor. Traction Control service warning came on and check engine. Ran rough last time right before putting away and then fine when started. seems like potentially a sensor or injector. Any one know of a post to point to? Thanks..

assume you've tried seating all the boots at the end of the spark plug wires...some have posted here previously that the same can work themselves loose at times
(not all at once, but maybe one or two) ?

otherwise possible ECM issues (but I'm not an expert, for sure...)

If it threw a check engine light, it probably set a code. Have the dealer read the code and see what it says. Probably something minor/simple (hopefully).

I think it may be tied into the traction control retarding of the engine when loss of traction occurs, that's what it feels like. Afraid to drive it to the dealer at this point, want to do a little research. I believe you can remove the traction control fuse if I remember correctly from Spring Mountain Driving School. (maybe it was the abs fuse, been a while)....

Hi!
We don't recommend you remove your ABS fuse if you are going to drive it on the road. we only do it for the braking exercise here so you can experience a car without and with ABS for the comparison...if you are afraid to drive it on the road, I'd call roadside service and tow it in...
sounds like you need a refresher course buddy!
cheers,

seems to me that traction control was inactivated at Spring Mountain. Was it or just some more dead brain cells?

Not sure about the brain cells but it was the ABS fuse that was removed for a braking exercise.

That was correct but it seemed as though when we went on the track the traction control was already off if I remember correctly and it resets to on normally when you start the engine.
