19" 20" wheels...any regrets ? & positive feedback please ?
I'm thinking of moving up to 19" 20" wheel set up. I have read tons of posts but looking for more feedback ! Would like to know of any issues with bending rims, ride quality, noise, etc.
I would be staying with runflats, used as a DD mostly but not lots of miles.

I run 20" on all 4 but if I was to do it again I would go 19/20 just to get the raked look back. Otherwise even my 20" are a lot better than the stock setup and haven't had any issues.

No regrets. Do it! Michelin PS2 ZP (runflats) . 19 x 20. Ride quality is excellent...no noise issues from my perspective. Just not great traction in temps colder than, say, 40 degrees F.

I'm also considering a 19/20 set up as its almost time to replace the Runcraps. I would like OEM ZR1 chromes (I know they're a pain to clean). And would really like the PS2 ZPs. But the above picture is a good example of why I'm hesitant...the PS2s look like they aren't wide enough for the rim like the fronts do. I know I could go to 335 or 345 in the rear but I'd rather know mess with getting any codes. Or will I any way with a 19/20 set up?
BTW I love AOM but couldn't find one I want two years ago -or since.

If you are planning on staying stock or close to stock engine wise, 19/20 or 20/20 looks great! If you are planning on modding in the future, a 20" rear wheel doesn't have many sticky tire options. The 20" Invo's and PS2 are good, but they don't hold 600+RWHP.

I absolutely LOVE my 20" wheels. That being said I.hate the fact that I cant get a sticky tire. I am pulling my blower next week JUST so I.can keep my 20" set up. In my case losing 160HP will be a.good thing.

No ride or code issues... Like triblk6spd said, tire options are the only real issue, probably best to stay under 550rwhp or so (even that might be high), with either Invos or PS2's, probably not much fun for the street after that. Keep your 18/19's (or plan on buying another set) if you plan on tracking it.

i just got a set of 20's all around for my Z, and bought Toyo T1R tires for it. 345/25/20 rears and 275/30/20 fronts.
the toyos are suppose to be relatively sticky tires, but i have not had time to prove this as its still winter up north here.
another surprising note i found, my aftermarket wheels weigh identical to the stock oem wheel/tire combo. so you get all the looks and performance of a bling bling wheel, but no additional rotational mass.

Overall grip and wear is good. The treadwear is pretty moderate (280 I believe) so its a good compromise in both those areas. Not great, but a good balance of both. I wouldn't call them sticky though. The sidewall is a bit soft, so ride is a bit softer than a high performance tire, but this is at the expense of turn in.
Overall, this was a pretty solid summer tire. It wasn't on the extreme performance end but it wasn't exactly an all season either. I was happy with the tire and ended up buying multiple sets of Toyos.
My only concern is that I don't know how they'll handle with the extra power from a Z, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it.

OP, I just recently moved from the OEM 18/19 setup to an aftermarket 19/20 combo. Did not like the look of 20/20.
Turn in feels MUCH sharper, especially at highway speeds. The ride is also a bit stiffer as well.
Its not apples to apples because the shop set the tire pressure too high (haven't had the chance to bleed them yet) and because I went from non-run flats to PS2ZP runflats. Once I bleed them, I'll have a better idea, but I expect similar results to above, just not as drastic. The narrower and stiffer sidewalls will do that.
No regrets, the look is STUNNING. The only downsides seem that the tire choices are significantly narrower and more expensive and that it makes the brake rotors look smaller than they really are, especially the rears.

Agree on the "sticky" factor. I'm running 650 rwhp, and forget mashing it with the 20" Michelin PS2 ZP tires. However, for me, I'd rather have the tires let go than have something else let go, since I don't track the car.
