After an exhaustive search and getting 3500 mi from my GY run craps I have settled on Nitto Invos. On the co. web site today they have the proper 325/30zr19 and 275/35zr 18s but when you enter your car search there site says they have no tires for a Z06? BTW I only found one dealer on Ebay "eliteswheels" who have those tires for appox 1298 incl S+H. Any advice? I know the national co NTB is there suggested dealer here in central PA.

You can get stock Z06 size Invos. I happened to get mine from from Big Brand Tire in CA. http://www.bigbrandtire.com/.

I don't know about the 18/19 sizes....I changed wheels and went to 19/20 set up and used Invo's for that (19x10/20x13). I have enjoyed them.

Definitely improved ride. Traction is same as GY RF it seems.

I am going with Invos next go round since General stopped making the UHPs and I don't feel like wasting $$$$$ on Michelins...I bought the car to drive it not spend every dollar on tires...I can damn near get 2 sets of Invos for one set of Michelins

I bouht mine from a local tire distributor and they beat everyone's cheapest price, even including shipping for $1125 out the door. I had to mount and balance tho. (I do all my own tires)

With as little I drive my car, I would have rather went with NT-05's.

I just ordered Nittos for my car, went with the 345/30/19 for the rear. Ordered through a discount tire direct dot com place.

Only nittos i found in 275/35/18 were only W rated, max speed 168mph or 270kph, since the Z is rated higher than this, technically they are not suited. They are however fine for the street, but if you use your stock wheels for track days only like i do, then you want the Y rating preferably, or (Y) better still.

Got my Nittos thursday 325/30zr19 and 275/35zr 18s they look awesome. I had knee surgery yesterday and it snowed today. so it might a bit until i install them.

When Z-speed rated tires were first introduced, they were thought to reflect the highest tire speed rating that would ever be required, in excess of 240 km/h or 149 mph. While Z-speed rated tires are capable of speeds in excess of 149 mph, how far above 149 mph was not identified. That ultimately caused the automotive industry to add W- and Y-speed ratings to identify the tires that meet the needs of new vehicles that have extremely high top-speed capabilities.

While a Z-speed rating still often appears in the tire size designation of these tires, such as 225/50ZR16 91W, the Z in the size signifies a maximum speed capability in excess of 149 mph, 240 km/h; the W in the service description indicates the tire's 168 mph, 270 km/h maximum speed.

As vehicles have increased their top speeds into Autobahn-only ranges, the tire speed ratings have evolved to better identify the tires capability, allowing drivers to match the speed of their tires with the top speed of their vehicle.


FYI I dont want to start a pissin battle and I never bad my vette above 150 but I have had my
RUF BTR C4 over 185 with Z rated Bridgestone Potenzas it has a top speed of 205 Im just showing the charts and we are all big boys and drive the way we want. I know enogh about tires to get by having a pile of cars (9) and many trucks. I know Z and Y tires can go faster and I know there might be info actually showing it but I could never find it as most MFGrs dont print it due to liability.

I am on my second set of Invo's, they don't hook up real well, Could be the cool weather, the roads here in west Texas are not real friendly these days due to winter and dust storms.

Just installed today my new nitto Invos 325 30zr 19" there 13" wide and the ride and handeling is so much better then the stock GY runflats.
The wether was 50 here in snow country so I took advantage of it.

That chart says just what i was saying.

When i said " the Z is rated higher than this" , i meant the Z06 is rated higher, as in higher speeds, so that is why tires were not showing as suitable, technically, from a legal standpoint, only (Y) rated tires are suitable.
