Burning Brakes
Unfortunately, due to a family medical issue, I will not be able to make it to Track Attack this year!
Jason - Thank you very much for all the support and assistance!
Mike - I appreciate the email exchanges and chats on the phone and look forward to meeting you next year!
Dean - Thank you for offering to let me use your trailer to haul my car out. We will need to figure out how to get both cars out next year!
Have a great time at the event as it promises to be an unforgettable experience! I'll take care of the family medical issue and be there next year. Post lots of pics as I will be living vicariously through them!
Cheers,
Jeff

Sure, Mike!
Johnny O and I have prepared the seat for you. It does smell a little but at your age I am sure you are used to a little pee smell.
I bet Frank is turning over in his grave laughing. At least I hope so.
I hope someone brings me a new pair of Depends. After 2 years and a couple of months the ones I have on are getting a little raw!

We need to tone this down bit! My self-concept is suffering. I need to pretend that I'm "master of the universe". My spouse is beginning to wonder why I'm attending Track Attack 2012 with a bunch of guys wearing diapers. Help!

But, I bet you will say this is the best track event you have ever been too! You will make friends for a lifetime and you will have some first class food and drink.
Us old guys that ran endurance events about 100 years ago learned to pee in the seats. Take a look at endurance cars and you will see holes in the seats and floor boards! Some of us have that reputation! Ask me about why endurance drivers always get into the cars with clean uniforms. Plus, I had my prostate removed about 13 years ago so I can't go but about 1/2 lap without peeing, hence, the Depends. Mike Newlander just wants to tell everyone to keep an old friend happy!
The lawn mowing is from the first Track Attack event where I took Tommy's car slightly off track and the next year when Mike went off track in the same turn. And, of course, I ran off track into the grass at the NCM VIR event a few weeks ago! Mike alledges the oil on the track had nothing to do with the incident. Jason also helped spread the word. (Thanks, Pals!)
Sooooo, no matter what you do don't run off track or it will be your turn in the barrel next year.
I look forward to buying you a beer Sunday night.
Jim

Now that we are getting so close when is everyone expecting to arrive?
depending on departure time I may get there later on Saturday
Go kart racing, drifting in the parking lot or burn outs in Mike's garage Sunday afternoon before Jim treats us all Sunday night?
Cheers

Lainey and I are officially on vacation and we leave for Indy in the morning. We'll be at the Continental Challege and Grand Am races on Friday and then over to Birmingham Michigan for my nephews wedding Saturday night.
Then the real fun starts. Katech Track Attack bound on Sunday!!! We can't wait to see everyone!!!

Hey, Rais, because some of us are just old!

I'm attending because I've heard nothing but great comments from Jason about you and other members of the "Track Attack" aristocracy - and I might improve upon my limited driving skills as well.
The cars are cool, and the Track Attack crowd undoubtedly shares my insanity for go-fast GM / Katech machinery, but the people are what make these things memorable. I'm also looking forward to the 'war' stories we'll hear from O'Connell, Pilgrim & Lutz. We'll have fun next week. Maybe a few cigars too.
