Default When 1800rwhp isn't enough.... What do you do???

Well, you start over... that's what.

Last year we did ALMOST everything I wanted to do, but we didn't make the power I was expecting to make. We did make it to about 1800rwhp and did set all of the IRS records for any Corvette of any year going 7.75@184mph.

Well, that wasn't fast enough. As some of you may know there are cars with Independent Rear Suspensions (IRS) that are going considerably faster than I went last year. So, we are just going to have to step it up some more!

For the 2012 Race Season I enlisted the help of one of the (if not the best) LS engine builders in the country to build me what I hope will be one of the baddest and most powerful LS motors to ever be built!

We are starting with a Dart Billet Aluminum block

Inside it will be Callies' Ultra Billet Crankshaft

GRP2000 Billet Rods

and a Custom Designed Set of Diamond Pistons!

On top will be All-Pro's 12-1 Heads with their 4500Flange Style Intake, and Elbow and a 105mm Throttle body.

Comp Cams will be grinding a Cam designed by Kurt Urban so that the power will be right where we need it.

Forcing Air into this build will be a pair of Garrett's Brand New GTX55R 88mm turbos with Stainless housings from Tial!

We will be cooling the charge with a 3000HP rated Air to water intercooler.

Planting the power will be done through one of RPMTransmissions TH400 Conversions working tother with The Drive Shaft Shops best axles, and drive shaft.

The car is due back from the Chassis Shop at the end of the week. We have removed weight, improved suspension, and are preparing for an assault on the LS Drag Radial world.

Some of the fastest LS powered cars in the world race in the LSX Series. In 2011 we came in 2nd in the points by only 5 points! In 2012 I want to be more competitive and faster than I have ever been before.

I am so excited for the 2012 race season that I almost can't stand it!

For the 2012 Season IPSMotorsports.net will remain the Title Sponsor and will be building the Turbo kit, assembling and tuning the car. They will also be with us at the races and making sure that we get down the track straight and fast!

Stay tuned as I add pictures and updates.

Weight reduction should be closer to 300lbs, goal is to have a 3300lb race weight.

The setup is being built to be able to make 2500rwhp... As for 1/4, I just want to be able to keep up with some of the other cars in the class... I'd be happy with 7.30-7.50 range and 190-200mph in the 1/4....

Those numbers should all be very doable with the power this setup will make.
