Default What size torx bit of MAF sensor?

Thought I'd clean my MAF sensor the other day, and in trying to remove it from the housing, I found that the torx bit set I have does not have one to fit. Mine are either too small or too big, but since they are not stamped with the size, I don't know what size to go buy.

Anybody know for sure what size to use?

Thanks in advance for your trouble,

CL

A T20 fits my 09Z MAF (July 08 build).

Depending on model year, your MAF may be held in place with a tamper resistent TORX Plus T-20 screw...

You can purchase the appropriate TORX bit from Halltech, while other's have found specialty stores to order it from.

My T20 is a six-lobe, security Torx and works fine on my 09Z although I do not think the Torx screws have the security pin. Other model years may have different screws as indicated above, which is why I gave model year and build date.

Use a dremel to remove the pin in the center. Then use a regular torx bit to remove the bolt.

Some years used a 5 lobe Torx and some years used a 6 lobe Torx, both being the security style with the pin. If you have the five lobe Torx screws, bits are very hard to find. 6 lobe bits are easy to find.
