Actually, as Everett knows, I speak the truth and have beaten all those cars and then some.

How? I cheat.

It's not stock, and (when I get serious) I run drag radials. Best guess it would make about 680 HP at the crank, at sea level. At over 6 THOUSAND FOOT DENSITY ALTITUDE my car runs high 11's at 119 mph and change.

To the OP: Seriously, if you want speed and luxury, and a good ride look into the Cadillac CTS-V, either sedan or coupe. They're as fast as the GS Vette and infinitely more luxurious.

That's right and there is plenty of room for the walker in the trunk.

Been there, seen it. It will actually give your mod'd Z (572 RWHP) a pretty good run, won't it?

Which would fit perfectly with the old man hat he wears when cruising for young unsuspecting victims in the V.

I really like the interior in the Cad.

A great pair would be a CTS-V and a ZR. I went with a ZR and a Callaway GS b/c they're just so darned much fun, and I love the looks of both of them.

My pair is the CTS-V and a modded C6 Z06. Both great fun, both fast, but totally different feel.

Yes Everett, my CTS-V is almost as fast as my 572 sae rwhp Z.

a 572 h.p rear wheel z06 should leave your cts v standing still please lets not get carried away.11.9 at 119 is very good but the vette should be mid 10s at 135 if it has 572 horses .

Not at 6,000+ feet DA. At this altitude my 572 sae rwhp becomes 470 actual rwhp. Try mid 11's at 125 to 127 mph in the quarter.

If you want a more comfortable ride than your Z06, then I would likely suggest the GS. I have owned both 01 and 06Z. I find that my 11ZR1 in Touring mode is every bit as stiff & bumpy as the 06Z06. My 07 F55 vert in Sport mode is still a more comfortable ride than the 11ZR1 in Touring Mode. JMHO based on my observations, For me, I am still very happy with my ZR1 because I am not that concerned about ride comfort as most of my driving is on quite good surfaces so it isn't an issue.

I agree with GOLD72. I had a GS with the F55 suspension and the tour mode felt much softer than it does in the ZR1. I could really feel the difference in the GS. The difference in modes in the ZR1 is not as noticable. It could be that the aluminum frames in the ZR1 and ZO6 make them feel similar.

Touring is too soft for my tastes in my 07 vert and Sport is just right. However, Sport is just too stiff for me in the ZR1 unless I was perhaps going to track it. So I drive the two cars in different settings.

Park the corvette next to the Aston and most people would choose the Aston. It's probably the most beautiful automotive design ever IMO. However, go for a drive in both and you begin to see why the vette is such a popular car. The bang for the buck factor is unmatched with the corvette. Most exotics costing 2 or 3 times Z06 money simply can't keep up to one and that's a tough pill to swallow when your an exotic owner.
Looks are important, but the older I become the more I realize the driving experience trumps all. Ease of ownership (i.e. - reliability) is a close second.
