That's impressive, Do me a favor & post that in the ZR-1 section, I got chased out of there for telling them I sold my ZR-1 to get back into a Z06 cause I feel the Z06 with a little work can kick their ***'s for half the cost of a ZR-1

That is a great time and mph.

I have been trying to figure out a good tire to install on the rear. Right now i'm running MT 345 35/18, which is way too much tire at 1 inch taller than the stock 26.6.
I was looking at the same tire you used but that would put the height of the tire at 25.4" which is 1.2 inches lower than stock. Both these heights affect the rear end ratio. Mine negatively, your positively.
Your speedo is definitely off a bit, as is mine. Have you noticed anything weird with your abs system. Mine feel a little different under hard stops. Wonder if it's the tire height.

Anyway once again great run!!

I put the same MT that you have just a couple a month ago and this Hoosiers are waaaaayyyy better tires than the MT. That last run I launch the car on aprox 5000 rpm's and the car just jump ahead. with both tires I make more or less the same trap speed, but with the MT my best was 10.9

Nothing weird on braking or accelerating, the car feel perfect down the strip. But with my 105mph on the 1/8 I think it should be around 2 or 3 mph more on the 1/4 (just guessing) maybe is normal with this set up?

Thanks!

With all that power you are putting down you will no doubt need to upgrade your clutch and that will allow you launch much harder, and won't leave you stranded at the track, b/c the stock clutch will not be able to withstand your power launching on drag radials at the strip.
How true

When I had my cam only setup (QM Black Mamba cam and stock heads) and was making 545/505, that is pretty much the same times that I ran on the stock clutch. 10.620 @ 132.39 with a 1.70 60' on 345/30/19 NT05R's. Just for reference my car trapped 107.03 in the 1/8 mile with a 6.940 ET. So I think your times are pretty well spot on with my setups....but I also think the cars should trap slightly higher in the 1/4 mile. Not sure how some guys clip 135 with just bolt-ons and no cam.

Default Halltech Onboard

The Killer Bee II is good to 650+ RWHP with the stock throttle body.

When you decide to upgrade to the 102 TB, the Super Bee will be the ticket!

Congrats on the Halltech Killer Bee II helping make these numbers possible!

There is one track in particular that always seems to have better air than us in the midwest or you down in TX, maybe thats part of it. I've never seen one here do it in person.

Thanks for the info, my other cars always gain a avg. of 28 - 30 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4... Is good to know that my Z is not the only one avg less than 28mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4

"Cam only" is a stretch considering you also have an intake manifold upgrade, throttle body upgrade, and headers. "Cam only" means the only part you changed is the cam (and maybe the CAI).

But nice numbers.

Everybody has different definitions, 99% of the time when I have heard the term "cam only" the last 11 years, hundreds of times, the person always had the basic supporting bolt ons, headers and a tune, and more often than not "cam only" on this forum, means untouched stock heads (with a cam and supporting bolt ons).

I mean honestly, how many people on this forum who are active do you know who literally are only running a cam and no supporting bolt ons and headers on their C5s or C6s?

I can think of just one who recently did that on his C6 Z, and now he plans on adding at least headers as he reliazes he left a lot of horsepower on the table.

Bobafett,

I am doing well my friend, can't complain, and I bet your enjoying your blown C6 Z in this nice fall air.
