Looks great, it is just so damn expensive. Nice garage!

You get what you pay for. I also looked at professionally applied floor coatings that were similar in price.

Racedeck gives you so many more creative options to achieve the “look” you want and the stuff is very durable.

I researched them all and ended up with the Racedeck. All one color but as you can see it ends up with a pattern all it's own. Sorry I don't have any bigger pics, just my grandson helping with the detailing.

Get "Lowe's Industrial tile" for your garage. Looks almost as good and was approx. $300 for my entire garage. I have a black and white checkered theme with a red strip in the center.

Sorry, I only have a partial pics right now:

I have had the Race Deck tiles in my 2.5 car garage for almost 10 years and they are nice. The only problem is when they get hot with the sun they will bow. I don't think I would buy them again but would go the epoxy route like I did in my main garage.

If your Racedeck bows when it gets hot, then you didn’t leave enough expansion gap at the perimeter…it needs about ½” on all sides.

Like any floating floor product, it expands and contracts with temp changes. When it expands, it can’t lift unless it’s constrained.

It does all around. Might be the fact it has two cars sitting on it and it does not move.

I used a very similar product in my garage. Mine were peel and stick in alternating black and white. Been down for 8 years and no wear issues. The Race Deck products are nice but get pretty expensive, especially with a larger garage.

Some pics in my garage photos.

with the racedeck, and lowes tiles doesn't the grit get down in the openings of these tiles and look dirty?

Can’t speak for the Lowe’s stuff, but the seams on Racedeck Diamond are very tight and locked in place…no space for dirt to penetrate.

I vacuum my floor with a normal upright carpet vac to keep it clean and then hit it with a coating of Griot’s Speed Shine, which minimizes dust on the black tiles.

I did the self installed Epoxy flooring from Lowes. I've had it for about a year now with no issues to speak of. I live in So CA, so there are no real extreme temperatures to deal with, which may be why mine has held up well.

I did my three car garage six years ago with black and white snap in tiles from Costco. They are very similiar to Race Deck, and they are holding up very well. Last year I popped out some of the white tiles and replaced with black in the tire tracks since the white tiles got some unremovable stains. After that install I starting using a vinyl tile wax that is applied with a mop and that is working out good, keeps the stains from setting in and it has a nice gloss.

Nice job! Is that a 2 part system?

If you want to enjoy the fall folliage, Please come to CT do the same to mine! (I feel plain now, just boring old concrete!)

Does anyone know how long the concrete needs to cure out before coating? Mine is 1yr old now so I think I'd be ok? -Dan

Ya, this was the Quickrete system from Lowes. I'll trade you my florring for your garage size and contents =)

My concrete was about the same age before I did the coating (1 yr). The key to this is prepping the floor to remove all of the contaminents. The actual application isn't any harder than painting a wall.
