Sengli - As you can see in my photos above, when you look straight down on the tiles you can see stuff that has gotten below the tiles since they are open. But when you stand out in the driveway you don't see any of that, especially if you have snow and slush on your car in the winter. It falls right through and runs out under the tiles - provided you still have a decent pitch to your floor. I use a big push mop to keep the dust off of it during the nice weather.

Twice a year I take everything out of the garage and use a high speed blower to blow the junk out from under the tiles. I slide a couple pieces of wood under the lip near the doorway and it all comes flying out.
