New DSOM Z06 on the Forum
bought this 2006 dsom z06 in jan 2011. had 562 miles on it. gotta love a collector who saves the car for the next owner. don't worry, it's being driven now. gotta say, the "sky is falling" folks had me a bit worried about actually driving it at first, but scanned thru the entire z06 forum looking for things that could possibly be wrong with these cars. that was over 48,000 entries. made note of things that could be wrong and took it to my favorite dealer. yup, that's right, our local dealer. these folks at bradley chevy in havasu are great. katie in service ran the vin and checked for recalls and tsb's and took care of them. greg, the z06 schooled tech did all my "worry" list and found nothing wrong except the rear axle nuts. they were replaced and properly torqued. thanks greg. also replaced all the fluids. not only did these folks attend to all my concerns, but they actually let me stand around under the car while the work was being done. their only caution was not let the service manager catch me with a wrench in my hand helping out. this is what i call customer service.
gotta say the z06 is stellar in every way. the best corvette we ever owned, and that includes a 67 435 horse side piped coupe among others. the mrs might not quite agree. i traded OUR 06 dsom z51 automatic for MY 06 dsom z06. at least we both agree the color is the best. she's busy counter spending as we speak and the pool in the picture is officially hers.
hope these pictures turn out. if not, i'll keep at it.

sweet car yes i do love the collector that puts no miles on them, in feb 2011 i picked up my blk blk 2lz with 1544 miles on it in pristine cond, after 100 miles i got bored with the power and stuffed in a black mamba cam with arh long tubes, now bored with that so im adding a procharger to go along with the cam and headers, after that who knows... oh yeah..current mileage is 2100 so i dont drive that much, maybe 1k a year

Great find.
Hope you drive it more than the last guy did (sounds like you plan to). They are far too enjoyable to be garage floor art.

yes, sequal ii's up front, aries in the rear and one of their center channels. what you can't see is the 2700 watt sunfire sub in the corner. along with sunfire 5 channel pre amp personally signed by bob carver, and a 5 x 405 watt sunfire amp. i lost track of the interconnects by audioquest, but there are many. the sound is beyond incredible. this is the detatched garage, man cave to some, boy toy box to others. guess we could turn the car around, face the tv and play drive in movie night. maybe i'd get lucky.
