Supercharger or rolex??
Damn decisions.....debating on getting a rolex submariner or a&a supercharger for the z.......i always wanted the rolex but the supercharger sounda good also......the rolex would probably hold its value while the blower will lose value but gain intrinaic value to me........opinions??

I'm not the guy to ask because I put absolutely no value on status objects like a Rolex. I have a cellphone that gives me the time- I don't even bother with a cheap watch. So for me there is simply no decision to make here- supercharger for the win...assuming you plan to stuff some proper parts into the rest of the motor to handle all that squeeze.

You'll get about 1000x more enjoyment out of the blower.
I live near a Harley plant, and my blower pays for itself every time some biker with a built nitrous Harley thinks he can hang.

if you're a tool watch guy go for an older discontinued Sea Dweller, (not the deep sea), it'll keep climbing in value, and your grandkids will still enjoy it.
but the new ceramic sub is not a bad choice either

Im a watch guy as well. I have a couple of Omegas, a Sub and a Yellow Breitling Super Ocean Abyss that I absolutely love. I dont think you will regret either decision. My advise would be the s/c if you already have at least one nice watch... If not get the roller..... You will have it long long after the car is gone.

If you go with the rolex go with the GMT IIc, it is a better looking watch in my opinion. Better yet, forget rolex and get a Panerai, they are nicer looking and they aren't a dime a dozen.

Well... I think the blower will put a bigger smile on your face!! The sub is a nice piece but.. In comparison.. All it shows is the time.. I'm a big watch guy as well!! But I would def. Choose the charger over the sub!!

If its one or the other, get the blower which you will have more fun with. You can always get the watch later. For me, I have an Omega Seamaster. When I was shopping one day for a diamond for my then girlfriend, I saw the Seamaster in the watch case and decided someday I would have a watch like that. I figured, it was different than a Rolex, because if one asked someone about a Rolex, 99% would know what it was, ask about a Omega and many would give you a blank stare. I don't wear it much except on special occasions, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't ever sell it, but I have a LOT more fun driving my supercharged Z06

You might get different responses over on L4P.com, but on a car forum, most people will say get the blower. To me it's a no brainer. IMO, A watch is a complete waste of money. We have fancy cell phones with crazy apps that do all kinds of things for you, but people want to spend thousands on something that simply displays the time.

If residual monetary value was the only relevant factor you'd have a good, although exaggerated, point. For a true car guy there's a grin factor for enhanced performance that you can't even put a price on. Being one of those true car guys, the joy I'd get from owning a Rolex would be zero vs. the joy from a supercharger being right about at the top of the charts. Either you get that or you don't.
