Default A couple of ZR1 questions.

I was curious as to how the ride comfort is on the ZR1. I've owned a 2009 Coupe with F55 and found the ride in tour mode was impressively comfortable.

In 2010 I bought a Grand Sport and found the ride was stiffer but not harsh like the ZO6.

What is the ZR1 like in Tour mode compared to the F55 in a coupe?

Also, are the ZR1's provided at Spring Mountain, or do you need to bring your own car? From what I read, it seems they provide the cars but wasn't 100% sure.

Thanks, and my be upgrading to a ZR1.

Excellent ride in the touring mode. People that have not driven a ZR1 would be surprised how good they ride. Even my wife comments how how smooth the car is. Still frim enough for good handling at the same time.

They have their own ZR1's.

I own both and have no issues with either ride. Both cars are very comfortable to drive. I drove the ZR1 to the Bash in April - 2K miles round trip. No issues. It will 'travel' a bit on certain roads but I understand that's the alignment setup. The car is great on the road. You will love it!

I owned a 2006 coupe with F55 suspension before I bought the ZR1. The ride in the ZR1is very similar or possibly a little better. However, the handling and powerr of the ZR1 does not even compare. Good luck with your decision.

My ZR1 has a stiffer ride than my Z06 (2009) did. Even in tour mode.

When we went to SM in April, they had plenty of ZR1 but unless you own a ZR1 they would not let you drive them. I went with my buddy SteveZ06, I have a ZR and he has a Z06, I asked if I could swap with him and let him drive the ZR as he is thinking about upgrading, and I would drive a GS or Z06 and was told that Chev owns the ZRs and only owners could drive them. Prior to going I was assured that it was no problem for him to try a ZR but it didn't work out that way.
We are planning a second trip out there and hopefully he might get a chance to drive one then, but not holding his breath.

Hi!
if you do buy a brand new 2010 or 2011 car, you get a two driving school certificate that you can redeem with us, and you do get plenty of time in the zr1 with that program.
if you take any other program with us, we do provide the car, instruction and lunches. if you sign up for the summer special, you also get a two night condo stay included, otherwise you are responsible for you own travel expenses.
let me know if you need any further assistance and congratulations if you join the zr1 club, you won't be disappointed!

Is your ZR1 a C6 or a C4? Looks like your avatar is a C4, that would make sense on the ride comfort.

Thanks for your response. Buying A ZR1 is something my wife and I can both enjoy. If we decide to purchase the car, we are going to do the engine build together.

The question I had about the driving school is, can my wife join me for the 2 day ZR1 class? She'll be fine with letting me take advantage of the driving while she hangs back at the pool and spa. We'll both be happy.

Thanks, Chris

Chris,
Absolutely! She can also come down to the class and ride along with the instructors or hang in the classroom too
The pool is very popular this time of year
Cheers!

Victor,
that's great and one more reason to get her involved. I'm sure she would love to ride along!
Thanks!
