Default Z06 is sold and on its way to Canada tomorrow

Well, I sold my Z06 to a forum member and it will be gone tomorrow afternoon. Since I hadn't taken any pictures of my little boy (Scott) with it, this was my last chance. Unfortunately not a very nice day today so we settled for a couple inside shots.

Here's my future ZR1 owner...

I can almost reach the pedals Dad...

Nice wheels dude!!!...

You might want to give him a couple more years before you let him drive it. So when does the ZR1 arrive?

Looks like probably about 2 weeks before I can get my hands on it. I sign the final paperwork on Tuesday and I have to arrange shipping from Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale....

That little guy is going to want even more time in the ZR, since he didn't get to drive the Z.

No Rich, that's the one I started with and that's the one I'll end with even if I die with a C12 Z06/ZR1...

I might change my avatar though, I haven't decided yet.

Hey Willie...you make it sound like I'm going to fight the Taliban, never to return.

Dude, I've been behind the wheel of a Corvette since 1982. Been behind the wheel of Z since 2005, I'm not going anywhere. I won't be spending any less time on the Z06 forum either.

C'mon guys, don't kick me to the curb...

In that case, enjoy the ZR1 and we'll talk to you soon (is that better?). Willie

Thanks Tim...

Actually about a year ago I was contemplating trading for a ZR1, but after finding out that we were pregnant, I shelved that idea. I was never going to part with the Z without having another Vette in the garage. That would just be "wrong"...

Now that the dust has settled and the little guy was born into this world as healthy as can be, I'm more confident in spending a little cash. The opportunity to move into a ZR is too attractive to let pass me by.

I do understand. I'm going to pick up a used ZR1 after C7 is intro'd and my Z06 will be paid off as well. That way I can keep the 427 I lusted over for so long. They are sweet rides.

Congrats

Congrats on your new ZR1 and your little boy! How old is he? My son is going to be one on Wednesday!!! I have been going round and round the last year thinking about trading the Z for a car with a back seat for the little guy. I have a DD so that is not the issue. If just have found this last year I have hardly driven the Z. Cant cruise, cant go anywhere with the family... so I usually drive it to work once a week to keep it going strong. We'll see...... Best of luck with the ZR1!!!
What color did you get???
