Default Xtreme Motorsports A&A's a Z06

We had a local Corvette Forum member take us up on our A&A offer from several months back. So here, in all her splendor and glory, is the Velocity Yellow 2008 Z06 that will be getting some luv from Xtreme Motorsports!

Less than 30 minutes after rolling her into the shop our technician was already thrashing away....

Looks like the NW TB is already swapped directions. I'm interested in how the oil cooler lines look and how they are run. I assume a dewitts with the built in cooler is going in?

Yup, T-body is swapped and should be good to go. This is the first time we are doing an A&A with the larger T-body so our fingers are crossed that there are no issues with fittment. As for the oil cooler lines, you are correct, a DeWitts will soon take the place of the factory radiator and that is obviously where the lines will go.

As we plug away at the install I figure I can post some of the "progress pics". Here are a few shots of the upgraded DeWitts radiator and the A&A intercooler. Nice stuff!!

Very cool !!! It'd be nice if it was done in time for the "Street Wars" drag race at Speedworld next weekend and you come out and drop the hammer on some 1/4 mile runs.

"Special tech" is being reported for this "run what cha brung" event, no official track prep (you do it yourself), no scoreboards, and arm drop racing.

This is pretty much identical to what I'm going to be ordering this week except I'm doing a blower cam and no meth. I may add meth though. What kit is that?

Did you just use an extension harness for the 102TB? No fit issues? I just want to make sure it fits/works before I order the extension harness.

NW 105mm TB and his wiring harness adapter for the ls7. They did not mention any issue with fit.

As you can see for the A&A kit they have to flip the TB 180 degrees so that the motor doesn't hit the A&A bracket. Just wondering if that all worked out.

As far as I know it all worked out. They had it up and running on the dyno Friday for tuning but were seeing too much pressure and would have to pulley up.

Yes the boost was up in the 10psi area, we are currently changing the lower pulley to the stock size in order to lower it. With the 8 rib setup we are limited on upper pulley sizes. Balancer is on the UPS truck out for delivery today, hope to have the car back on the dyno in a couple more days. The meth kit we are installing is an Alky Control Systems kit, the only one that I know of that will operate on straight Methenol without failure. We have done a bunch of these kits on Turbo Buicks with great success and the Covette system has been working out equally as well. No fitment issues with the Nick W tbody or any other part of the A&A kit.

The numbers are in! 613rwhp and 556rwtq. It did do 632rwhp and 560rwtq (pre meth) but they felt it best to tune it for safety. The thing drives like stock until you drop the pedal. You can't even hear the supercharger, just a little swishing of air from time to time. Aside from the loud exhaust you would never know. I would love to see how this thing would be with a fully built motor and a small pulley.

I want to thank Jan and Randy for working with me. I had a lot of questions and concerns and they addressed them all without making me feel like I was a bother. Very honest and straightup guys. Best of all, the car was returned to me just as clean as I brought it in.

And from what I hear, my girlfriend just left there and is pretty happy with her new exhaust too!

We'll be seeing you again, soon!
