OK, maybe a hint. Here's a (purposely) grainy iPhone photo of some of the clear advantages with doing business with John...

One must really try hard to find any negatives in John's work. Styrofoam peanut packing material strewn about your garage is a small price to pay (I do fully understand that, in addition, you paid a hefty dollar figure price). But, having seen one of John's creations in person, worth every dollar of it. Unlike Katie Couric, your seats, SW, and other accessories will look even better with higher resolution photos. His work is as close to perfect as it gets. Congrats, I'd bet that I'm not the only envious owner viewing this thread. Do you now install the items shipped and then return the cores? Looking forward to the "after" shots.

I dunno, I heard putting those seats in lowers the HP by about 45.

Hmph. Small price to pay? You're not the one that spent a half hour with his neighbor trying to clean up those little bastards. Boy the garbage man is going to hate me tomorrow...

Yep. The seats are already installed (did that immediately, before cleaning the garage). The wheel, shifter boot/**** and e-brake boot/handle will be installed tomorrow by my Chevy dealer. They'll do that at the same time they're replacing my rear brake rotor and caliper. Once I have the OEM parts out, I'll box them up and return them to John.

The good thing about shipping people stuff, is u can send them things as packing material you don't want and then it's their problem to throw it away, I always thought packing peanuts should b outlawed...when I see packing peanuts in a box I open, I get out the wet dry vac and vac them up before I open the box compltly, those things get everywhere....nice stuff,

While effective, the person who invented those damned, electrostatically charged packing things deserves a special place in hell.

Stop teasing with these crappy Iphone pics and show us the pictures.

Enjoy those new seats!!! You've been talking about them long enough.

Another disadvantage are the gigantic pictures we have to endure. Nice seats though. Very nice. On my list.

At least you didn't unpack a set of Carvaggios in the middle of the shop, only to run inside and answer a phone call, come back out and realize the wind had picked up because the shop doors were wide open. Thankfully it was only a page over the intercom to our detail dept and they were there chasing 9 million styrofoam peanuts around the shop.

That's why you send him your car, no peanuts.

Perhaps he does, but he gives us bigger discounts.

If not for the peanuts I gather you are very happy with John's work right?

Have you driven the car with the seats yet? I put mine in yesterday and my air bag light came on when I drove it today. I used the connectors that came with the seats figuring they were supposed to "trick" the computers to think the side airbags where there.

Also my memory seats don't work anymore. The power seats work but not the memory settings.

There is no doubt Caravaggio does great work but I have to agree on the peanuts. I'm still picking those up those damn things.

I suspected as much. Knowing John he could not allow anything to leave that was not outstanding, even an outstanding number of peanuts Glad you are happy with the work, drooling is the biggest problem you will have to deal with
