Default *** New PB Bolt-On today for the Canadian and yes he strike again 10.xxx @13x.xx ***

Hi, Yesterday 05 june 2011 was a great day for me at the track of Pont Rouge Quebec. My quest for the first place of the Bolt-On in the fast list as growing up with some healthy competition over the year with great driver. Just for remember, I've got this first position in 2009 with a 10.63 @ 131.35 mp/h. Some weeks later , Gary take it to me with an outstanding setup and track time in the 10.34 range.

So, 2010 should be a year to come strong with a better setup to stay competitive. At this stade, with a bolt-on car, it start to be more difficult to choose the right component who work well toghether. I have choosen the wrong a couple of time, resulting with a broken right axle. Later in the summer, many health probleme keep me away from the track. At the last minute, in the autumn (around october) when the track here are near to close, I see the possibilities to go there to try my new setup.

I'm about to finding in my test and tune before the week end track day that I'm chasing a very difficult trouble in the car. Erratic AFR, knock ,knock and knock. After many hours passed in my garage to diagnoses the trouble, I found a bad alternator. GRRRRR

Too late the track was closed for the year . (30 october 2010).

As many of us known, Bruce (AKA many split personality) chasing my second position and start as many threads as he can to give me some hard time over the board.

At this time it was very frustrating to watch this cheerios lover beat is poor dead horse all month of the year !!!

Finally he got is 10.345 .....

Now 2011 is my Year,Today the car is close to is killing mode setup, but the weather are not perfect.... (60 to 80 pounds to shave with cold autumn weather ...)just FYI Bruce Lee

Temps: 68F- 70F all days, with sun and cloud.
Humidity are high at 50%
Baro stay around 30.00

Stay tune tomorrow, it is too late to continue the story. 24h without sleeping now for me, it is time to go rest. (Just remembering the track are 5.5 hre form my house so 11h for just travelling in a day ....)

Stay tune tomorrow for the final chapiter of the story.

So you could guess a timeslip ...

10.261 @ 134.95

Nicely done Georges!!!

Any idea on what kind of rwhp you are making with your setup? Seems like you are right around ~540-550 with those traps. Also, what front wheels are those and where did you get them? The rears are the old ZR1 wheels right?

Thank you Sir !!!

I put down 505 RWHP on a mustang dyno. The wheels are GTO spare painted competition gray with M&H tires. Yes the rear are old ZR1 17''.

Congrats, proves my theory of the mn12 ratios being quicker...jury is still out on the gains from the LED kit and 427 emblems though

What are the new transmission ratios? Why did you not just change your rear end gears instead of your transmission ratio?

Because C6 rear ends are much prone to break than a stock Z06, and because I don't have a C6 rear ends that I could built myself like I have done with my tranny. And the last ''because'' is to not to duplicate Gary's setup, I want to try my own way.

Later,
Sébast
