Default Halltech GT2 DRED Hood Factory Pricing for the next 5!

When I say factory pricing, I mean zero profit for Halltech. Checks will be mailed directly to our carbon fiber shop.

We have now seen this hood in JSB, Datona Orange, Machine Silver, Red, and Cyber Gray. One more to go. Les will have some professional pictures done soon of his Cyber Gray Z06 with the DRED hood. The red hood was photographed with a cell phone, so the pictures are not remarkable yet.

The next five are priced at $2695.00 plus shipping and packaging.

email me at jim@halltechsystems.com for pricing or order online:

http://www.halltechsystems.com/Hallt...od_W_p/gt2.htm

Man can you see the heat escaping out of the radiator exit ducting when you are standing at a stoplight. We are seeing 170s, and 160s water temps in 80 degree weather. Increases downforce, reduces weight by 13 lbs. and lowers the COG.

I am waiting for them. The customer told me that several Corvette owners saw the hood completed on his car, and stated that they have never seen a hood that looked more like it came from the factory that way.

Maybe GM could off the GT2 hood as a Z07 or Carbon Option?

Default Torch Red

Pics are from a cell phone. Better pictures when the car is picked up. This one went to Canada.

Default Dred Hood

Jim just uploaded the pictures of my Cyber Gray hood and I cannot tell you what a nice piece it is. The shop that installed it and finished it said it was as nice a fit as they have seen for an after market hood and when they got done it truly looked 'factory.' Get countless gawks and would get this hood again in a heartbeat! Jim has an even better deal going on now than when I got it so if you can swing it, it is a wonderful addition.

Default Best I have of the Machine Silver

He installed the aluminum screen. Personally, I much prefer the open look.

Zero profit for Halltech on the next 5 hoods. We have $7500 invested in this hood, but the folks here in Wisconsin that make this for us, need to recover some of the initial $20,000 they have invested in the mold and R&D.

Our water temps average 169 to 174 degrees in 85 degree ambient weather running E85 and 13:1 CR). Downforce is really increased, with 13 lbs off the front and the lower center of gravity and much lower pressure under the hood.

Check out the video on the right for a look under the hood.

$3599. It is not exactly cleared, but rather has the same glossy epoxy finish as our intakes and other carbon fiber parts.

If you decide to clear it yourself, be prepared for a lot of extra work and clear coat.

We have a way to make one with a clear center like the Orange hood, and primered panels for paint match.

The check is in the mail. With a little luck I'll have it on the car in time for the NCM event at VIR.

Since GT2 DRED hood is based off of a ZR1 mold can the ZR1 clear window be used with it?

No. We made a completely new mold. The hood is actually the Z06 Carbon hood with the waterfall DRED.

We have a ZR1 NEW hood for sale here. Factory Black. Ready to ship.
There is a special on it if purchased by the 15th.
