How much would this cost for a Calif smog legal kit and have the manual trans converted to an automatic trans on a new 2011 Z06. A6 would be nice if would hold the power. This would be for street only set-up but I'd like it to have drag radials.

Pricing sounds about right. Just consider the added cost for a proper fuel system to keep the blower safe. NONE of the "kits" out there ever come with a decent fuel set up. Cali smog legal is another animal all together. After the set up is done, find a shop with a load control dyno (like us :-p) and load it up to 15/25 and see where you stand with a 5 gas analyzer.

Why the heck would anyone buy a new 2011 car then rip it up to change transmissions .Sometimes i think the people starting certain threads jsut want attention .Does this guy even own a z06?To me this is ridiculous.Go buy a used 06 and play with it.You want a new car with automatic then buy one but for gods sake dont tear up a new car.

I put a A6 from RPM in my car, and logged 26k miles on it so far. Don't knock the A6. Still uses the Z06 shaft/gearing/etc...

Maybe the op is someone of means where cost is no object. He wants a new Z and also wants an auto. Who are you to question another person's motives? There are a lot of people who buy new cars and customize or convert them to suit their needs. You might want to spend some time learning how to type, spell, and punctuate.

Very interesting. Subscribed. A 6sp auto trans like the one on the CTS-V would be great. Mine is making 520rwhp and holding fine so far. This on a lightweight car like a Z06 seems like a good idea.
