If I have some 20" iForged wheels on the z06 will these brakes fit behind the wheels (currently have Stoptech).

I was asking for this a while back when you posted the carbon brake package. I already went another direction but I would have loved to go this route.

Looks Great

Would these bolt right up to existing Z06's without the Z07 pkg? All the ABS and what not still work? I would be very interested if little to no fab is involved. Great idea on this package!!!

Who makes these blanks? Could they be slotted? That would be sweet!

Yes, it is a bolt on kit for any C6 that has wheels to clear the massive brakes. ABS/TC/AH will not be effected.

They are slotted now. They accidentally sent them back without being slotted, but they've fix them now.

Default Z07 brake kit w/slottet cast iron rotors

Hi Rich,
Are you able to supply such a kit (frt+rear)?
Would you use the blue Brembo calipers from the ZR1 or the grey ones from the Z06 when optioned for those big brakes?
Thank you in advance for your answer!

I am able to supply a complete kit and I have the rotors/hats here in stock. I can order either the Z07 (grey) or the ZR1 (blue) calipers to go with them. The only thing not inlcuded is the Carbotech pads. I just sold the last set of calipers I had in stock, but I can have them in 3-5 days if needed.

Love my stock OEM Z06 rotors...$79 each. I couldn't imagine tracking a car with Z07 package, it would be self destructive.

I understand the brake master cylinder was changed for 2009...I have a 2008 "427 Edition" ...Would my master cylinder work with those huge calipers? Or should I upgrade?
(I have frt. wheels that will clear those brakes with a little spacer - OZ Ultraleggera 19").
Do you have a picture of both your frt. and rear "custom made-production" slotted cast iron rotors, with their aluminium hats to go with the Z07 calipers?
What sizes are they?
Are the hats anodised or left bare, untreated?
Are they floating rotors or fixed ones?
Could you get the Carbotech pads? (Or at least the exact Carbotech part nbr. for the ones you would advise for club sport track events).
How much is the full kit with everything needed to bolt on my Z06 but without shipping?
Would you ship overseas? (Switzerland)
Sorry for all the questions...
Thank you in advance!!!

Master cyl is not an issue. The ZR1 upgraded brakes are a bolt on to any C6 that will clear the calipers. I've sold the ZR1 kits to 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010 owners already.

The rotors are 15.5" front and 15.0" rear and are exact copies of the ZR1's carbon ceramic units. The hats are raw aluminum. The rotor design is the same as the stock ZR1.

I would be willing to ship overseas, but the cost would be insane. I sent a stock set of carbon ceramic brakes over there and it was ~$700 in shipping. These are probably closer to $1k because of the additional weight.

I would ask carbotech what pads they recommend. They have 5-6 different compounds that work with these.

Here are a couple pics of the rotors with the hats just sitting on them.

I am aware of the shipping costs.
From the pictures, I see its a non floating rotor type. What fasteners are you using?
For your information, I have seen a ZR1 with iron rotors on a track in France. The owner had those custom made by a speed shop, locally...there must be a reason...He is a fast and experienced driver!
Would you be able to get the RED Z06-Z07 calipers such as the ones seen on the 2012 Centennial Edition? http://blog.corvettecentral.com/2011...photo-gallery/
Finally, what is the price of the kit (with pads if possible) and without shipping? + availability?
Thank you in advance!

Oh yes...why such big chamfers on the hub central hole and on the wheel studs holes? Doesn’t it make the aluminium contact surface smaller? (Just a question, I am not pretending knowing better!)

Richie, use airfreight, a lot cheaper and take about the same time.

This is interesting. Don't think I can afford it, but I have a few questions that were addressed, but just wanted some confirmation.

So, just so I understand correctly, this is a direct bolt on, as long as your wheels can clear the caliper with no issues with AH or ABS? This is compatible for all Z06 years?

This package would contain the exact Z07/ZR1 front & rear calipers and pads, but uses steel rotors instead of the CCBs? If the steel rotors wear out, how would one get a replacement? Are you the only supplier of these rotors? Is there anything that would not allow the CCBs be used at a later time?

Have you got a more accurate quote on pricing? Also, any pics of this setup mounted on a car?

Thanks.

Yea you cant beat that. ESPECIALLY if you drive on the street. The ZR1 carbon ceramic rotors are nice, but at $1,300 a piece, its a non starter of a decision. $79 vs. $1,300....

OOPS.

I didn't realize that RichieRichZ06 was a vendor / started this thread... I started a similar one a while back, and I must have subscribed to this one, I thought I was posting in my own!

It was not intentional! My bad!

Will delete now...

I have called off my production of these for now because of the low demand. If Supervettes wants to move forward with this, more power to them.
