If I am not mistaking, I did see a quick bleep of 333 kph on the HUD, which equates to 208 mph.

The ONLY thing that would have made this video better, is a Ferrari or Lamborghini pulling over to the right.

Have fun out there!

I sure miss my sprints between Wurzburg and Frankfurt!

If not already, look up the Baden-Wurrtemburg Corvette Club. Some members are here on the forum and a great bunch. Lots of meets, events, cruises, Rudesheim, Normandy, HockenheimRing, NurburgRing, etc etc etc.

Also, if interested, have you looked up German Race-Wars? I believe it may have started in April, but once a month, 3 days of racing and partying and learning that "Sleep is over-rated" at Race wars! If you love car shows, Bodensee World Tuning is KILLER!!!

Ahhhh Deutschland.....A good place to be.....even better in a Vette!

This wasn't me ...
I 'only' went 185 mph on the German Autobahn (too much traffic to go faster )

Yikes...that was one crazy ride! Kind of scary watching people's left turn signals flashing up ahead when approaching at those speeds.

We could never have an autobahn in this country because americans would never give up their god-given right to drive slowly in the hi-speed lane.

I wondered about that too.

The factory specs place the top speed at 198mph (316km/h)?

The indicated speed must never be less than the actual speed so most vehicles report a speed that is greater than the vehicle is actually traveling.

In Europe the standards allow for up to 110% of the actual speed.

With an indicated speed of 333 KPH the actual speed could be anywhere from 186 MPH (110%) to 206 MPH (100%) or somewhere in between.

Indicated Speed-Speedo Error-Actual Speed (KPH)-Actual Speed (MPH)
333 110% 299.70 186.22
333 109% 303.36 188.50
333 108% 307.03 190.78
333 107% 310.69 193.05
333 106% 314.35 195.33
333 105% 318.02 197.61
333 103% 321.68 199.88
333 102% 325.34 202.16
333 101% 329.00 204.43
333 100% 332.67 206.71
